Ryan is an accomplished singer and guitarist with a BA in music from Whittier College and an MA from CSU Dominguez Hills. My chief aim is to tailor my performance set to fit your needs and entertain your audience completely. I've been performing for over 15 years and can take on any type of venue and event. I've amassed a catalog of over 100 songs and will gladly take advance requests outside of my current catalog and learn them for your event. I typically sing and play guitar with accompaniment but can also play an instrumental set by using the guitar as a melodic instrument…everything from quiet and subdued to loud and obnoxious. You'd like some background music for dinner followed by a dance set or a rock concert, no problem. All of my equipment is professional grade, including a 1600 watt PA for larger venues when needed. I've been a performer and music teacher for both guitar and voice for over 15 years and have dealt with most genres of popular music, including classic and modern rock, pop (top 40), jazz, blues, country, Latin pop and rock, R & B and even a little Samba (but my Portuguese needs some work). I would like potential clients and event planners to know that I joined this site because I enjoy playing music, not because I am trying to earn a living at it, so my goal is not to break your bank! As fun as playing music is, I handle every event in a professional manner, always. Look for flakey musicians elsewhere! I look forward to hearing from you.
I provide all of my own amplification and instruments. Clients often use my PA for speeches etc. I use acoustic and electric guitars, harmonicas, an ukulele and the trusty laptop. All I require is electricity no further than about 30 ft. away and a (mostly) shaded area.
