It was so much fun and everyone at my daughters party enjoyed it! She even took time to do something special for the smaller kids. Thank you so much!
Allison did bridal henna on my feet a few days before my wedding. She was a joy to work with- extremely flexible on pricing and travel, warm, professional and creative. She drove several hours to do my henna at my wedding location and still charged an amazingly fair price. She was really interested in how I wanted the final product to look and did a wonderful job- I received tons of compliments. Getting bridal henna was the most fun and unique thing I did for myself pre-wedding- so glad I did!
Price Range: $35 and up, depending on package.

What to Expect
I offer a professional, clean and relaxing environment for guests to receive a henna experience, not just artwork. Private appointments are offered at either my downtown Bend studio or at your preferred location. I am willing to travel, and bring all the necessary tables, chairs and assorted props such as pillows, modesty sheets, and drapery to help create a comfortable space to receive your mehndi. Henna is about expression, beautification and most importantly laughter and love.
I travel and participate in a variety of events and attempt to modify my space to complement the events I attend. I keep in foremost thought the safety and comfort of my guests, offering sturdy chairs and step-stools implementing a "'three-tiered" system that helps place the client and myself at a comfortable position while working. For a nominal fee, I am able to cater my decor and stage my booth to my client's event.
My name is Allison Dickerson, and I am the founding owner and artist of Allura Henna.
I have been drawing since I was a small child, and moved through various art forms such as acrylic painting, jewelry, and photography over the years. I studied Graphic Design in the early 90's, but found that computer aided art work didn't satisfy me the way that drawing with a good pencil and paper does.
In 2006 I was introduced to henna through a mutual friend and artist. I instantly fell in love! Since that time, I've devoted a significant portion of my time towards developing my art into a business that promotes the use of henna in a variety of applications. I created Allura Henna in 2007.
I proudly use only natural Jamila and Rajisthani henna body art quality powder in my paste, along with organic (when possible) essential oils, sugars and lemon juice. No chemicals!
I want my art to invoke an emotional connection within my client. Henna has the ability to transform even the simplest of things into active works of art, and nothing is more rewarding than seeing the smiles and joy that my clients experience after their first henna design.
I am actively engaged in the henna community since 2006, attending conferences, practicing and expanding my services. I most enjoy the variety of applications henna has, no matter the age, gender or spiritual beliefs of my clients. Henna is truly for everyone!
As a client, you can expect to see many traditional mehndi elements infused with more modern linear movements in my art. However, I'm evolving into more Gulf - fusion style designs, using fun leaves and dots to enhance my art. I am always open to consulting with you to create a piece of art that is uniquely yours, based on your personal preferences and desires. My portfolio is diverse, and accurately reflects the variety of henna styles that I am able to do.
Professionally, I am a Masters level graduate of Clinical Mental Health Counseling and hold my National Board Certification. I am pursuing research and incorporation of henna into mental health services in my community.
Personally, I am a married mother of two young girls who keep me on my toes! I'm a volunteer media coordinator on a local Parent-Teacher-Community school organization, and part-time pre-K teacher. My goals include opening a private practice that supports & counsels youth using henna to help overcome depression and anxiety.
