Alexandra Burch was born in San Diego, California, in 2002. At age five, she first began learning how to play the piano from her mother, Karina Burch, who received her teaching education from the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. At age seven, she began receiving additional lessons from Krzysztof Brzuza, a native of Warsaw, Poland. Since Alexandra started playing piano, she has won various competitions starting from the age of seven, with the most recents being San Diego State Concerto Competition and Musical Merit Foundation of Greater San Diego. Alexandra also enjoys working as a collaborative pianist, playing with both instrumentalists and vocalists. Alexandra has studied with renowned pianists from all over the world, such as Stephen Hough, Nikolai Lugansky, Sofya Guylak, Piotr Paleczny, Awadagin Pratt, and Isata Kanneh-Mason. Alexandra received her bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University under the guidance of Tina Chong. Alexandra is currently a master’s student studying with Bernadene Blaha at USC’s Thornton School of Music.
