Good photography starts with good communication. Before the job, I want to understand what matters to you—your preferred look or style, venue considerations, must-have photographs and any important moments or timing I need to anticipate.

At events, I capture the important moments, candid interactions, details and group photos without constantly interrupting the flow. If there’s a grand entrance, presentation, surprise or other can't-miss moment, I want to know ahead of time so I’m in the right place when it happens—not chasing it afterward.

For portraits and headshots, we can discuss the look you're after and ideas for clothing, what to bring and how the images will be used. During the session, I’ll guide posing, positioning and expression so you aren't left wondering what to do in front of the camera.

I arrive prepared, adapt when plans change and keep communication open from planning through delivery. My job is to understand what you need, get the photographs you hired me for and make photography one less thing you have to manage.

I’m an Arizona-based photographer specializing in portraits and headshots, with extensive experience photographing corporate and private events.

With portraits, I’m interested in more than simply making a technically good photograph. I love lighting, expression and the small details that make a portrait actually feel like the person in it. Most people aren't professional models—or particularly excited about having a camera pointed at them—so a big part of my job is getting past that awkward first few minutes and helping people relax.

I also genuinely enjoy events. I’m comfortable walking into a busy room, figuring out what's important and adapting when the schedule inevitably stops resembling the schedule. I know when to work quietly in the background and when to step in and organize people to get the shot.

I show up prepared, communicate clearly, treat people well and make the photography one less thing for my clients to worry about.

I provide the professional camera, lighting and related equipment needed for the job and can adapt my setup to the assignment and venue.

For event coverage, my technical requirements are generally minimal. I may use on- or off-camera lighting depending on the space, available light and the look we're trying to achieve. Any venue restrictions regarding flash, photography access or equipment should be communicated ahead of time.

For on-site portraits or headshots, I can bring a complete lighting setup and backdrop when needed. Requirements vary with the desired look, but typically I’ll need a suitable working area, access to a standard electrical outlet and enough setup time before the first scheduled subject.
