September 3, 2024Alan was a professional who worked with me and my wife for over a year to plan and organize my wedding from my home in New Jersey for a wedding in Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Maine. He learned our requested songs and even provided an original rendition of a song. Communication was excellent and prompt. Alan is a experienced musician who will absolutely make your big day something to remember.

August 10, 2023Alan was great. He was very communicative and even learned new songs we asked him to play. Also it was a little of a unique situation where he played at our wedding ceremony and then had to change locations to the reception dinner, which he was happy to do. Would definately recommend him for any event you are planning.

He played with joy and talent and spirit. He was very kind and gracious. We loved the elemen and atmosphere he added to the wedding day.

Born in Superior, Wisconsin 1952 After anearley interest in electric guitar and playing in high school rock bands Alan decided to stuy Classical guitar.His first teacher was James Bleskan in Superior a self taught classical and fingerpicking guitarist in the style of Chet Atkin (link hidden)an studdied with Jim from age 15 until age seventeen when Mr.Bleskan told A lan he couldn't teach him anymore and he should seek out a teacher to take him to the next level. Alan went on to study with Jeffrey Van (whose students Included Sharon Isbin)and later with Charle Pederson. Alan then went on to study with Robert Paul Sullivan at New England Conservatory in Boston. Alan also studdied with Bill Viola (Whose students incuded Elliott Fiske) in Philadelphia and also Joe Mays in Philadelphia. Alan makes his home in Faette Maine. He is divorced andhas one grown son, Andres Wilson who is an excellant guitarist in hi s own right. Alan was a regular featre for hree years at The Weathervane Resturant in readfield Maine as well as Lauria's o The river in Augusta Maine. Alan has been a featured rectalist with the Boston Classical Guitar Society and plays many weddings i the New England area.
