After The Bar is a part-time professional all-male A Cappella group based in Philadelphia that performs contemporary music, as well as pretty much anything from within the past century. Founded in 2009, the group consists of 9 members with extensive A Cappella experience. After The Bar prides itself on its close-knit harmonies and custom arrangements. The groups fits well in an array of venues (with or without microphones) and carries repertoire that is diverse enough for almost any occasion. Requests for specific arrangements can also be made for those who want the perfect song for the perfect occasion!
So wonderful! Great communication and amazing.
I wanted to hire an a cappella group as a surprise for my wedding. What I had in mind were a lot of silly and some original songs that had a personal meaning for me and my fiancee. I contacted a number of groups and almost all responded with just blind quotes that didn't take any of the performance details into consideration. After The Bar responded with a list of questions and things they wanted to know to create the best performance possible. They worked with me creating a custom setlist and were quick to respond to any questions I had. The performance was better than I imagined. If I were going to do something similar again, they would be the only people I would contact.
Response from After The Bar:
Thank you so much Lewis! We were happy to make your Wedding day a little bit more special! Congratulations again!
These guys were amazing !! They made my made of honor speech and we stole the show. Could not be happier with the entire experience.
After the Bar performed at Sedgeley Club's annual black tie dinner in December 2015. They were fantastic! The members showed up on time, and were very professional. They sang just what we requested and received rave reviews from our party guests!
I had been furiously searching, high and low, for someone who can bridge the continental gap for me and sing a song for my girlfriend on the east coast. I figured it would be awesome to have a few handsome dudes serenading her instead. I landed on After The Bar and immediately was taken good care of. This was really last minute (ie < 1 week). I would be throwing a fit if I was asked to do something like that in this time frame and just before the holidays in November. But these guys came through. We exchanged a few emails, decided on the song for her birthday, figured out logistics and that's it. They were really attentive about what I was looking for. They did the job: Got to the venue before time, scoped out the place and surprised her with a birthday greeting and a tight performance on the sidewalk(!) , all for a very reasonable quote. They had someone record it for me. And within 30 minutes after the deed was done, I had a youtube link. Thanks guys. Totally recommend these gentlemen.

After The Bar was originally founded in 2009 as a post-collegiate A Cappella group composed primarily of alumni from Drexel's 8 to the Bar. It has since evolved into a part-time professional group consisting of people from across the Philadelphia region. They currently have 9 members (4 tenors, 2 baritones, 2 basses, and 1 vocal percussionist), although they are capable of performing with as little as 4 if necessary.
After The Bar excels at performing in both amplified and acoustic environments. The majority of repertoire features a lead vocalist, background vocals, vocal bass, and vocal percussion. After The Bar utilizes a simple tech setup with nine dynamic microphones, an integrative sound board, and four speakers. They can provide their own sound equipment and sound technician for an additional fee, or they can sing on your house system with standard Shure SM-58's or equivalent. No special light cues are required. If food is provided as part of a contract, vegetarian options are humbly requested.
