About
Belinda or Beanie Hoops is a flow artist and aerialist from Central Maine. Over 10 years ago she found hula hooping, which was a spiral into the world of flow arts, fire spinning, and later aerial. Pole fitness was her first aerial apparatus but she typically performs on lyra, lollipop, or sling. Taking dance classes as a child for several years helped her to get a sense of movement, but dancing without props always felt kind of awkward for her. She loves the challenge of growing through these arts, from the conditioning to the dynamics, and the fine-tuning of movements and transitions. Belinda loves to share the magic of aerial and flow arts with others through instruction and performing. Some events she has performed at include The Taste of Waterville, Point Reggae, Folk Fest, New England's Odd & Unusal Show, and The Goth Halloween Ball at Aura. She is co-owner of Aerial Arts 207, in Waterville, ME, where she teaches lyra, lollipop, and hula hooping.
