Do you believe that it’s possible to actually die laughing?  If so, Dizzy might be the most dangerous man alive.  From the celebrated Apollo Theatre in London’s West End to the iconic Sydney Opera House, Darren “Dizzy” Partridge has been delighting audiences around the globe for more than a decade.  An accomplished comedy magician and cirque variety performer, Dizzy is a regular headlining act on the luxury liners of both Celebrity and Norwegian cruise lines.  He has also been featured as The Trickster & The Showman in the largest touring magic show in the world, The Illusionists.  Dizzy’s wild combination of magic, physical comedy, and theatrical thievery, delivered with mischievous British charm, leaves his audiences both spellbound and gasping for breath.  With three different shows to choose from, your audience is guaranteed an experience they will not believe and will never forget.

My Biography,

As a kid growing up in Coventry, England, I had no idea that one day, I would be performing in Cirque and Magic shows around the world and making a living onstage. I am sometimes asked if I always wanted to be a Comedian and Magician and to be honest, the short answer is no – but I always followed my interests. I started out in martial arts. I loved doing all of the acrobatic tricks during my free time. and Believe it or not, those self taught tricks landed me a lead role as Sir Francis Drake in a stunt show in Majorca, Spain.
I spent several seasons doing backflips and high falls and sword fights with my fellow swashbucklers. Of course, when my tenure as a professional pirate eventually came to an end (actually due to a fight with Blackbeard; that’s a whole other story), I wandered into a cirque audition back in London and blew away the casting directors with everything I had learned. In 2004 I was hired and moved to Myrtle Beach to work for Le Grand Cirque and was exposed to a myriad of different performers, including some influential magicians (who would eventually become my teachers) and everything just clicked into place.
I had found my passion and performed in numerous shows over the years, doing cirque variety, physical comedy, magic, and even theatrical pickpocketing! I’m not sure how much luck had to do with my success, because I’ve worked hard at every turn, but I can say that I feel like the luckiest man in the world, because it was on a cruise ship years later (2008) that I met Janna.
Janna is a world-renowned, multi-discipline cirque performer. She also happens to be my wife! Like I said, I’m the luckiest man in the world! Together we are committed to bringing world-class entertainment to as many people as we can.

Ø LOAD-IN SCHEDULE / ARRIVAL:
Stage show entertainer, Darren Partridge AKA Dizzy (henceforth here referred to as ARTIST), is to arrive no later than two (2) hours prior to performance time (this can be adjusted as needed).
Please have the venue ready and available at this time. All special loading and parking instructions as well as required loading and parking passes will need to be provided no later than seven (7) days prior to the event. The venue must be available for an additional one (1) hours after the show for load out.

Ø STAGE AND PERFORMANCE AREA:
The venue must provide a raised stage for the stage show.
If the performance venue is not a traditional theatre, a photograph of the performance area should be provided no later than seven (7) days prior to the event to allow for adjustments to be made.
Two (2) grounded outlets need to be available on stage.
One (1) projection screen and one (1) projector must be provided. Information regarding distance from the stage as well as type of input/cables required to connect projector to a computer need to be provided no less than seven (7) days prior to event.

Ø SOUND REQUIREMENTS:
A fully operational and quality sound system (henceforth to be referred to as “Sound System”) is to be provided. It must be equipped with at least one (1) mono XLR input, two (2) stereo 1/4" inputs, and one (1) 1/8” stereo input, along with all cables to make patch connections. One (1) wireless microphone (with fresh batteries) and one (1) microphone stand must be provided as well.
A Mac laptop (to be supplied by ARTIST) will need to be connected to the Sound System. A sound technician will be using iTunes and Q-Lab to run the show from the laptop.

Ø LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS:
Theatrical lighting is best to create the proper atmosphere. A link to a Dropbox containing relevant lighting information will be provided to the PURCHASER by the ARTIST. In addition to this document, a DVD of show is available upon request to aid in properly lighting the production. If theatrical lighting is not available, the venue must notify the ARTISTS no less than seven (7) days prior to the event.

Ø TECHNICIANS & CREW REQUIREMENTS:
The venue must provide at least two (2) technicians: one (1) lighting technician, and one (1) audio technician, although an addition two (2) technicians is recommended for spot light operation, when available. All technicians are to arrive at venue no later than two (2) hours before the scheduled performance, to allow for rehearsal. Should the venue not be able to supply a sound technician, the ARTIST can provide one at an additional cost of $150 plus relevant travel and lodging expenses.

Ø DRESSING ROOMS:
One (1) appropriate dressing room is to be provided as close to the performance area as possible, with lock and key that only the ARTIST (and his/her team) will have access to before, during, and immediately after the performance.

Ø MERCHANDISING:
The ARTIST will be allowed to sell merchandise at the performances. One (1) 6’ OR 8’ banquet table is to be provided in a high traffic area such as the lobby or back of the room for the ARTIST to do a Meet-and-Greet, sell merchandise, take photos, and sign autographs directly following the show.

Ø ADDITIONAL SHOW SUPPLIES:
The ARTIST will provide all props and supplies necessary for the stage show with the exception of the following, which must be provided by the venue: one (1) music stand, two (2) chairs OR two (2) microphone stands.

Ø PROMOTION:
PURCHASER may only use official photos and/or written copy provided by Cirque Journey Entertainment and adhere to said provided materials for all promotion. A link to a Dropbox with appropriate materials will be provided to the PURCHASER by the ARTISTS.
