April 11, 2025I organized a panel titled “AI in Star Trek: Exploring Fiction and Reality” at Awesome Con in Washington, DC. The purpose of this panel was to explain the intersection between science and science fiction to the public. The audience was diverse, consisting of children and adults alike, with various degrees of knowledge in the subject area. Adeena Mignogna did not disappoint! She is a gifted speaker and can communicate with all age groups. One minute she was fielding a question from a child, and the next from an experienced professional. Adeena’s talk was engaging, educational, and motivating. The audience left wanting to learn more about science. The overarching goal of a science talk to the public is to inspire curiosity. Adeena achieved that goal and surpassed expectations. I cannot wait to work with her again.

February 25, 2025Adeena recently spoke at our Engineering Week event hosting a session titled "The Moon is Yours” that focused on lunar expansion and milestones of the Artemis program. She provided a well-rounded presentation that contained insights and engaging information about a sustainable presence on the moon, international collaborations, and laying the groundwork for future Mars missions.
