Siyo! My name is Violet. I am Eastern Band Cherokee/Chickasaw, and a fancy shawl dancer and educator. I have professionally danced at powwows and other cultural gatherings, as well as museums, schools and other public events. As a trained gardener and ethnohorticulturist, in many show and tell programs I like to teach about Native plants and animals with either live plants or Native crops grown straight from our stewardship gardens. Happy to dazzle a crowd and share my culture!
