Adam Sullivan is a professional cellist from Rock Hill, SC. He plays regularly with 7 String Theory and the Columbia Community Orchestra. He attended Winthrop University as a music performance major, volunteers regularly with his alma mater and the local community. He has also volunteered with the Union Symphony Youth Orchestra, along with other Middle School and High School orchestra programs in his community.
Adam did a fabulous job playing for our wedding ceremony. Great selection of music pieces, including nontraditional pieces, and he was wonderful to work with. He even braved the pouring rain to be there! I would hire him again in a heartbeat.
Response from Adam Sullivan:
Thank you!

I am a stand alone cellist, however I can hire other musicians if the job requires it. I also have audio equipment if it is necessary for the job, such as a pickup, guitar amp and microphones.
INSPIRE. CREATE. EDUCATE. ADVOCATE.
These are the four words that define my life's passion of music and what I instill into my students. I started learning cello when I was 11 years old and my middle school orchestra teacher helped set the ground work for my love of music. My high school years were heavily involved in creating music; constructing arrangements of the music I loved while growing up, and building the basics of my music career. While attending Winthrop University, I learned the skills needed to teach students along with beginning my journey as an educator. I also learned how to advocate my love for music through volunteering with the local middle schools and high schools and the Union Symphony Youth Orchestra . Now I'm looking to inspire my students to love music by teaching them not only cello and violin but music theory, arranging their music, being able to express themselves by composing and understanding music beyond simple ink on a piece of paper.
Only technical requirements is to talk to me first. If the venue is large enough that it needs to have a sound system then I need to know what we will need (speakers and power, or just speakers, only a microphone/pickup, etc). However, I do play an acoustic instrument, so unless you know they are needed, it may not be needed.
