Adam performed at my husband's 40 th Birthday last night. From the first time we emailed, he was so professional. He was so funny. Our friends and family had a blast. If u have the opportunity to hire him, do so. U won't be disappointed. He was great.

Response from Adam Oliensis:

Thanks for the kind review... I'm glad everyone had fun. The event was a blast. Loads of laughs! What a great group of people! (The reviewer wrote that "service provided" was "actor." It was actually a stand-up comedy show.)

Adaptable, Professional, & Extremely Funny

By Jessica S. on January 13, 2015

Adam graciously accepted my request to perform at my fiance's 40th birthday party in Manhattan. From initial contact, Adam was very communicative and flexible. He didn't respond with a template, like most other performers did. The venue did not have a formal stage, as it was a winery, however Adam made the entire room feel like a comedy club. I was a little nervous initially as the age gap of attendees was so vast (from 26 to 74 years old), but Adam quickly had everyone laughing and clapping. Adam involved the audience for on the spot comedy and was very current, likable, and easy to relate to.

If you are considering booking Adam for your event, don't second guess yourself. you won't be disappointed!

Adam,
Thank you for an absolutely amazing show. As board president, I have been trying to bring our lake community together in ways that are both successful and memorable. You accomplished that for us, and you did all the work to make it happen. Everyone had a great time.

Can we do this again...SOON?

4-stars: A great guy all around

By Diane O. on May 29, 2014

I highly recommend Adam Oliensis. Adam performed a stand-up routine at my 40th birthday/ Fundraiser for the Children's Tumor Foundation with a crowd of about 60 people. First, and most importantly, he was FUNNY. His comedy was fresh, and relevant. We were a mixed crowd in age, ethnicity, religion and personality. He had something for everyone. Even my cranky "you can't make me laugh" cousin had to crack a smile. He converted a couple tipsy hecklers into part of the show, making it even funnier.

Professionally, it was a pleasure working with Adam. He is personable, responsive to both email and phone calls, organized and was well-prepared for both the venue and mixed crowd. I hope I have opportunity to work with Adam again. He will certainly be my first call for any live entertainment needs I have again.

Consummate Professional!

By Tania L. on April 23, 2014

Adam brings a rare and much needed dose of professionalism to the world of comedy.
As a comedic performer, Adam always delivers material full with clever wit, sinful wisdom, and a considerable portion of irreverence.

Fantastic Fundraiser

By Tom on April 3, 2014

Mr. Oliensis, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the fantastic job you did producing our Comedy Night fundraiser. The comics you chose were all so amazing, including yourself, and we have been getting nothing but rave reviews from the parents that attended. In fact, we had a few people who also went to the other league’s Comedy show and they said yours was so much better. One mom told us, ‘this was the best comedy show she ever saw!” We look forward to having you back for many years to come.

Overview

Stand-up Comedy isn't only about telling jokes. It's about taking an audience's pulse and temperature, and about establishing a relationship with them. It's about finding out what's funny today to THIS audience, and about sharing what we have in common...and what makes us laugh together...at each other and at ourselves. Even when you're verbally fighting off a heckler, you have to love that heckler...first for being there, and then for caring enough to get involved. We're all here to have fun!

An audience can expect to laugh at my foibles and their own.

A client can expect clear communication, fair prices, and a level of professionalism that comes with 30 years of show-business experience. Oh, yeah, and a lot of laughs!

Additional Booking Notes

I will work with you on the technical requirements and equipment for the job. I was the Producing Director of a Theatre Company in NYC for 12 years, putting together scores or theatre productions. So, assembling the elements for a Stand-Up show is no problem.
