September 16, 2025Absolutely the best!!!!
If I could leave 100 stars I would! He was absolutely on point with everything I asked for. He was the accordion player for a surprise proposal that I did in Central Park at Bow Bridge. I’m from Chicago and he was super helpful and communicative through every step of the way planning this proposal. I would recommend him for Any event because his reliability alone is amazing!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Total Hit!
We hired Lucas to play at our party, and WOW—what an unforgettable experience! From the moment they began playing, the entire atmosphere transformed. The music was lively, charming, and brought a totally unique energy to the event. Guests were smiling, tapping their feet, and even dancing along.
Lucas was professional, punctual, and incredibly talented—able to read the room and shift the vibe effortlessly, from upbeat classics to more romantic and nostalgic tunes.
If you’re looking for something unexpected and memorable for your event, I can’t recommend Lucas enough. A 10/10 experience. Would hire again in a heartbeat!

A phenomenal musician, Lucas brings flair to both jazz and Brazilian music. He played at an event I hosted in April and people are still raving about it. His musicianship, spontaneity, and joyful energy make him a top pick.

May 11, 2025Lucas the Accordion Player
Yesterday, Lucas came up a two hr trip to play for two mothers in a resturant. The horrible restaurant rules would not let live music play. So Lucas played for the two mothers outside with the scenic water and mountains in the background. Lucas is a definite hire and a talented musician, hands down!!

About
A sought-after pianist, accordionist, composer, and arranger in
the musical scenes of Rio de Janeiro and New York City, Lucas
Cypriano began his musical journey at age 4 through vocal
training and early musical education. By 9, he was studying piano
under esteemed Brazilian musicians Rafael Vernet and Bernardo
Ramos. His work focuses on jazz and Brazilian music styles—
including Choro, Samba, Bossa Nova, and regional genres like
Baião, Frevo, and Maracatu—with a strong emphasis on creative
and improvised expression.
Lucas launched his professional career at just 15, performing
alongside renowned artists such as Letieres Leite, Nelson Angelo,
Sylvio Fraga, Thiago Amud, and the Annapolis Symphony
Orchestra. He has appeared at iconic venues such as The Jazz
Forum, Circo Voador, Minton’s Jazz Club, Nublu, and Bottle’s Bar.
His extensive touring includes performances throughout Brazil
and the U.S. East Coast, collaborating as a recording artist and
leading original projects.
After studying Improvisation, Arranging, Orchestration, Harmony,
and Ear Training at the prestigious CIGAM Institute in Rio, Lucas
earned a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from The City College
of New York. In addition to his artistic and academic pursuits, he
has over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages
through private piano and accordion lessons. Most recently, he
has been working in New York City as a professor for Music
Sensations for over a year.
Additional booking notes
If it is an event that requires amplification, all I need for myself is a speaker with 1 quarter inch input. If it is the case that we are arranging to put together and bring a band, it would be better to see case by case.
