My background began in Nigeria and grew through years of experience with African, Caribbean, American, and international music cultures. Performance services may include professional DJ entertainment, MC services, premium sound system, wireless microphones, LED dance floor lighting, LED uplighting, monogram/gobo projection, dancing on clouds low-fog effect, cold spark fountains, and other event enhancements depending on the package selected.

Sound System:
We provide a professional sound system suitable for weddings, receptions, birthday parties, corporate events, and private celebrations. Standard setups may include powered speakers, subwoofer support when needed, DJ controller/mixer, laptop/music system, backup music source, wireless microphones, and all necessary audio cables. Sound is adjusted based on the room size, guest count, event type, and venue rules.

Lighting:
Lighting options may include LED dance floor lighting, room uplighting, monogram projection, wash lighting, and special effect lighting. Uplighting can be customized to match your event colors and venue style. Lighting works best in indoor spaces or darker evening settings. Some lighting effects may be limited in bright daylight or outdoor environments.

Setup Requirements:
A clean, flat, and safe setup area is required for DJ equipment. A typical DJ setup requires approximately 6 to 8 feet of table or booth space and access to a nearby power outlet. Larger packages with uplighting, cold sparks, dancing on clouds, or additional speakers may require additional setup space.

Power Requirements:
A standard electrical outlet is usually sufficient for most DJ setups. Larger setups may require access to multiple outlets on separate circuits. Power should be available within a reasonable distance of the performance area. Extension cords can be used when necessary, but all power access must be safe and approved by the venue.

Setup and Breakdown:
We typically arrive early to allow enough time for setup, sound check, lighting placement, and final coordination before the event begins. Setup time depends on the package and services selected. Basic DJ setups may require less time, while full production packages with uplighting, cold sparks, dancing on clouds, monogram lighting, or multiple sound zones may require additional setup time.

Indoor and Outdoor Events:
Outdoor events require a flat, dry, and safe performance area with reliable power access. DJ equipment must be protected from rain, direct moisture, extreme heat, strong wind, and unsafe ground conditions. A tent, canopy, covered area, or indoor backup plan is strongly recommended for outdoor events. Events may be paused or adjusted if weather creates unsafe conditions for equipment, guests, or staff.

Staging and Venue Access:
If the event is located on an upper floor, basement level, or area with limited access, elevator access, ramps, or staff assistance may be required. Stairs, long load-in distances, limited parking, or difficult access may require additional setup time or additional labor depending on the equipment needed.

Microphones and Announcements:
Wireless microphones may be provided for speeches, introductions, ceremony audio, announcements, and special moments. For ceremonies, dedicated ceremony audio may be available as an add-on service and may include a separate speaker setup and microphones depending on the event needs.

Ceremony Audio:
Ceremony coverage is available when requested. This may include music for processional, recessional, guest arrival, and microphone support for officiant, vows, or readings. Ceremony audio may require additional setup time and a separate sound system depending on the ceremony location.

Dancing on Clouds:
Dancing on clouds uses a low-fog effect designed for first dances and special moments. This effect works best indoors on a smooth dance floor. Venue approval may be required. The effect may not be suitable for outdoor spaces, carpeted areas, or venues with sensitive smoke or fog detectors.

Cold Sparks:
Cold spark fountains are available for select events and create a dramatic visual effect for entrances, first dances, cake cutting, or special moments. Cold sparks require venue approval and must be used in a safe, approved area. Ceiling height, floor type, fire alarm system, venue policy, and local rules may affect whether cold sparks can be used.

Monogram / Gobo Lighting:
Custom monogram or gobo projection can display names, initials, logos, or designs on a wall, dance floor, or backdrop. The best projection location depends on the room layout, lighting level, surface color, and distance from the projector.

Music Planning:
Clients may provide must-play songs, do-not-play songs, ceremony music, entrance songs, first dance songs, cultural music requests, and special announcements before the event. DJ City works with each client to understand the event timeline, preferred genres, important traditions, and overall music direction.

Event Coordination:
We work with planners, venues, photographers, videographers, caterers, and other vendors when needed to help keep the event flowing smoothly. This includes introductions, announcements, special dances, speeches, cake cutting, open dance floor, and other timeline moments.

Insurance and Venue Requirements:
Abcity Entertainment can work with venues that require professional vendor standards. If a certificate of insurance or specific venue documentation is required, clients should notify us before the event date so the proper arrangements can be made.

All services are based on the package selected, venue rules, event layout, power availability, access, weather conditions, and safety requirements. Some special effects, lighting, and sound options may require advance planning and venue approval.
