I’m A.J. Potter, a classical guitarist with over 20 years of experience performing at weddings, cocktail hours, and private events. My performances are designed to create an elegant, unobtrusive musical atmosphere that supports the tone and flow of each event.
Drawing from a repertoire that includes classical, Spanish, and modern arrangements, I work closely with clients to select or adapt music that fits their vision, whether providing refined background music or highlighting key moments. I’m based in Las Vegas and available for events throughout the area.

Additional booking notes
I typically perform unamplified, which works well for smaller gatherings and intimate settings. For larger spaces or events that require more projection, I can provide amplification either through a microphone setup or a direct guitar cable hookup to an amplifier or sound system.

Influences and inspiration
My repertoire spans centuries and styles, ranging from the baroque and classical works of Bach, Mozart, Handel, Scarlatti, Sor, Carcassi, and Giuliani, to the Spanish and Latin traditions of Tárrega, Albéniz, Granados, Lauro, Villa-Lobos, Barrios Mangoré, Brouwer, Narváez, and Ponce. I also perform evocative romantic and modern pieces by Satie, Grieg, Schubert, and Rodrigo, along with favorites by contemporary interpreters such as John Williams and Andrew York.
Beyond the classical tradition, I include film scores, video game music, and popular soundtracks — from Studio Ghibli and Final Fantasy to Zelda and Mario. I also arrange and interpret acoustic works by Randy Rhoads, Metallica, Nirvana, and more.
