A little jazz. A little contemporary. A little band with a lot of groove and swing. We play great songs from the golden age of music, as well as newer classics by artists like Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse. Upon request we also play music from the best Disney movies.
Our beautiful professional female vocalist is accompanied by seasoned professional instrumentalists - the best combination for a wonderful and smooth Live Music experience.

I had the pleasure of getting to experience A. Powell Band live at The Naked Cafe with my wife and some friends! Listening to the music and witnessing their performance just made everyone feel good in their presence. There was a wide variety of jazz music played that had something for everyone. Heard them play at The Naked Cafe. Great acoustics in there. Such a great assortment of tunes and really enjoyed the skills of each musician, especially the incredible voice of the vocalist. My body was chair dancing all night!

I found 'Naked Cafe' while taking a walk Saturday night (I'm a visitor to Edmonton). There was music playing inside and to my surprise it was a real 5-piece Jazz Band. Beside a delicious Wicked Thai soup, the band's music was absolutely captivating.
Crystal-clear vocals, perfectly accompanied by an outstanding good and disciplined band.
5 Stars for the venue and especially for the 'A. Powell Band'.

Fantastic ensemble of very talented musicians. Highlighted by the glorious voice of Serena Wiggins. They played a multitude of songs and had everyone in the place grooving. A real classy affair.
Went to the jazz event on Saturday night, May 06, 2023 to watch/listen to the A.Powell Band. It was an amazing night, great performers, great venue. The professional performance made the night go by in no time. I would hire them without hesitation.
The band was absolutely incredible! Each musician is incredibly talented and the group sounds so good together. It was an awesome night and I will be looking out for events they are playing at again soon!
Everyone is skilled from the sexy sax to the vibrant vocals. Time passes by so quickly while you're mesmerized with this jazz phenomenon, that you'll wish there were multiple encores.
If you enjoy a chill atmosphere, relaxing with great music, and some good laughs, then you should check this band out!

The A. Powell Band consists of professional instrumentalists and one of Edmonton's finest professional female singer. We all share the love for music. Our goal is to provide high quality musical entertainment that will make your special event just a little more special.
We provide all sound equipment. Lighting is available for an additional fee.
A lockable 'Green Room' is required for dress changes and keeping garment bags and other band- or personal belongings stored safely. Bottled water and some snacks should be provided by the client.
