September 16, 2026As someone who recently moved from Australia to the US, it can be hard to find a piece of home at your doorstep. Thankfully, I recently became aware of A Band Down Under, and had the chance to see their amazing Aussie/NZ rock cover performance at their most recent show at Pho Cao.
It was such a treat to see a group of incredibly talented American musicians doing my beloved Aussie rock justice. Each member of the band is outstanding in their instrument; drums, woodwinds, keys, guitars, and both male and female vocals. Each song was recreated so accurately and meticulously, I felt like I was experiencing the real Men At Work/Divinyls/Crowded House (the list goes on..) in the flesh. Not only that, but the showmanship was fun and engaging, and the range of songs that were included meant there was something for everyone.
I would absolutely recommend A Band Down Under as a top-notch musical act and look forward to my next dose of live Aussie rock!

From the opening number to the final encore, every song A Band Down Under performs was a single back in the day! Some spent weeks on the US Billboard Hot 100, were in heavy rotation on FM radio, had memorable music videos on MTV, and filled nightclub dance floors.
