I wanted to send you a little more information about this event. It is a fundraiser for a GREAT cause.... Members Credit Union sponsored the first Wig Walk in 2012 to raise money for the Wig Bank of Caldwell County, a nonprofit cancer services center that provides prosthetic wigs for cancer patients, promotes the importance of cancer screenings, and provides funds to cancer patients for transportation to cancer treatment centers. Since 2012, MCU has presented the Wig Walk each year. This year, instead of the Wig Walk, we are excited to celebrate the very first WigFEST, a street festival, to benefit the Wig Bank of Caldwell County on Saturday, June 1st from 10am to 8pm on the corner of Boundary Street and Harper Avenue in old Forbes parking lot in downtown Lenoir. This year’s event will feature live entertainment on the stage all day, a mechanical bull, vendors, food trucks, inflatables and others activities for the kids, a cruise-in car show from 4pm to 8pm, a beer garden and much more!
