They did an outstanding job, arrived ahead of time, worked the crowd and everyone enjoyed the music.

November 24, 2018They did a great job with the reception. My wedding was at the same location, which we had pre-recorded music for. We paid the group for that entire time frame and the group said that they would coordinate and work with the venue soundman to make sure he knew which recorded song went where in the ceremony and not to worry about any of that. I wish I had worried, at least the worry would not have been before getting ready to walk down the aisle. The venue had to ask me three times in the brides room which song to walk down the aisle to ( they were going to play the incorrect song on each of the three times.) I wrote and sent out my instructions very clearly days before the wedding to the group, and we had a phone conference with Mike. The sound man ended up only playing one song during the entire ceremony, the one I walked down the aisle to. We had planned a meaningful song to be played while we were taking communion, and were left with a uncomfortable dead space instead of time to pray for each other. There was no way to tell him to play it at the point, so we cut that part of the ceremony short, which was an important part of the ceremony to me. The venue soundman played it at a barely audible level after the ceremony was over.

October 23, 2018We had Faltin and Fleener at my mother's birthday party and they were great! The crowd really enjoyed the music and they kept things lively while still allowing the ability for conversation. They performed on our covered porch, but they accommodated our request for a speaker inside the house.

Mike and Jeff have a knack for sensing the audience's mood and makeup which helps guide the music selections.
Mike Faltin possesses an extensive history in music and is a full-time professional musician. Mike was raised in Texas, but has spent time living in New York City successfully playing the NYC music scene. Mike also spent time in Nashville where he worked as a full-time musician, honed his songwriting craft, and won song writing notoriety. Mike is a true student of music and loves all aspects of the musical process. He is active in production, teaching, and songwriting. Mike has worked the Texas music market successfully for years and is one of the most sought after pianist in the area. Mike's musical influences are quite broad which makes him an extremely versatile musician and vocalist.
Jeff Fleener grew up north of the Texas border in Oklahoma where in his teens he fell in love with country music. He found himself emulating the likes of Waylon and Willie. Jeff eventually discovered the three part harmonies of Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers and was head-over-heels musically. It was through this experience Jeff partnered with his two older brothers and spent years traveling Oklahoma, Texas, and Louisiana harmonizing with his siblings -winning multiple awards in the local markets. While young in his musical journey he began working as a studio guitarist, but found his real stride in the studio as a vocalist. It was those vocal experiences in the studio that required Jeff to reach beyond his country music roots and stretch into some rock and pop sounds. I guess someone knew Faltin & Fleener was in his future.
The diversity of Mike and Jeff's musical backgrounds, and their stylistic differences lends to their ability to perform music from a broad spectrum of artists from their chosen genre. Faltin & Fleener's music hits mostly in the 1970's and spreads across the genres of Rock, Soft Rock, Country Rock and Easy Listening. Mike and Jeff have placed an acoustic overlay to the songs of that era and its genres, and rely heavily on recreating the very identifiable harmonies of the 1970's.
Faltin & Fleener can travel self-contained with sound equipment for modestly sized venues.
No special lighting is required.
