524 Brass Band

The 524 Brass Band draws its routes from the great New Orleans Brass Band tradition, and carries much of that with them into their performance and operation. The group can perform with either the use of its own industry-standard sound support and amplification, or entirely acoustically with no need for power, speakers, or even a stage! As well, due to its unique instrumentation, the band is highly mobile, able to pick up and move at a moment's notice, and even perform while doing so. The 524 offers uniquely engaging shows, complete with choreography and crown interaction. The group can perform Top40 hits from the 1960s onwards either with a vocalist or entirely instrumentally, making it perfect for audiences of all ages.

From hip-hop to funk and soul, all the way to New Orleans street beat, The 524 specializes in bringing the energy and keeping the party going. Able to perform amplified or completely acoustically, The 524 has performed on stages and street corners alike, and its unique instrumentation allows it to pick up and move at a moment's notice. Owned and operated by former and active duty United States Navy and Marine Corps Bandsmen, The 524 promises to bring military precision and professionalism to your event. The 524 Brass Band has become a staple in the Southern California community, and truly lives up to its title of "Biggest. Baddest. Best."

Formed in 2023, what originally began as a group of active duty service members making music together in their off-duty hours has since grown into own of the West Coast's most highly sought after brass bands, with performances from San Ysidro to Seattle. The group has shared the stage with such iconic acts as Frankie Avalon and the Rebirth Brass Band, and some of its regular clients include Google, Delta Airlines, and Chick-Fil-A International. Most recently, the 524 Brass Band was invited as a featured guest at HonkFest Seattle, one of the largest brass band festivals in the world. With three years down and many more left in the tank, The 524 is ready to keep bringing its distinctive style to Southern California and abroad.

We are a highly flexible, mobile ensemble that plays an exciting mix of electrifying originals and popular covers from the past 60 years. The group is highly versatile, capable of providing configurations for all situations and setups available for anywhere from 5 to 10 musicians. All configurations can be performed acoustically or amplified, and the group can provide all sound support and power needs. Please take a look at the offerings below and see which would make the most sense for your event and budget, and please keep in mind that each instrumentation is capable of performing stationary or on the move! All packages come with a complimentary in-person walkthrough/talkdown of the event with the bandleader, and each package can include a rapper upon request. On-site rehearsals are available at an additional charge.

OPTION A (5-PIECE)
Option A is our smallest ensemble, consisting of 5 musicians. The group consists of Trumpet, Trombone, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, and either a Drumset for stationary performances OR a Marching Snare Drum for mobile performances. Option A is our softest configuration acoustically, but can be just as loud as our full 10-piece instrumentation with our sound system, provided complimentary with each booking. This group is suited best for parades and smaller private functions where space is limited. Pricing for Option A starts at $850.

OPTION B (6-PIECE)
Option B is our next "small" configuration, and is ideal for those situations where space and budget still might be limited, but you require a bit more "oomf" to your musical support! It consists of 6 musicians: Trumpet, Trombone, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, Drumset (stationary) OR Marching Snare Drum (mobile), and EITHER a Bari Saxophone and Optional Vocalist (stationary) OR Bass Drum and Optional Vocalist (mobile). Pricing for Option B starts at $1,000.

OPTION C (7-PIECE)
Option C is the first our more "traditional" brass band setups. Harkening back to our New Orleans heritage, this configuration consists of 7 musicians: TWO Trumpets, TWO Trombones, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, and Drumset (stationary) OR Marching Snare Drum (mobile), with one Trumpet able to swapped out with an Alto Sax and Optional Vocalist upon request. This instrumentation is loud enough to perform for 250+ people unamplified, and is perfect for large events on a budget. Pricing for Option C begins at $1,250.

OPTION D (8-PIECE)
Option D is the most classic Brass Band configuration with 8 people, consisting of TWO Trumpets, TWO Trombones, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, Drumset (stationary) OR Marching Snare Drum (mobile), and EITHER an Alto/Bari Saxophone and optional Vocalist (stationary) OR Marching Bass Drum and Optional Vocalist (Mobile). This instrumentation is our most popular, and is right at home on an event stage at large corporate venues or on the ground at a wedding. Pricing for Option D starts at $1,500.

OPTION E (9-PIECE)
For the client with a more "Shock and Awe" approach to their musical entertainment, there is Option E. Option E begins our "Large Ensemble" class of configurations, coming in at 9 musicians: TWO Trumpets, TWO Trombones, Alto Saxophone and Optional Vocalist, Tenor Saxophone, Tuba, Drumset (stationary) OR Marching Snare Drum (mobile), and EITHER a Bari Saxophone (stationary) OR Marching Bass Drum (mobile). This ensemble is LARGE and LOUD, and can take charge of any event space they're in. This ensemble is perfect for clients with plenty of space seeking to leave a lasting impression on their guest. Pricing for Option E starts at $1,800.

OPTION F (10-PIECE)
The Biggest. The Baddest. The Best. Option F is the full 524 experience, and features our full, festival stage configuration: TWO Trumpets, TWO Trombones, Alto Saxophone and Optional Vocalist, Tenor Saxophone, Bari Saxophone, Tuba, Drumset (stationary) OR Marching Snare Drum (mobile), and EITHER Bass Trombone (stationary) OR Marching Bass Drum (mobile). This ensemble is for clients seeking a real tour-de-force, as well as a party their guests will NEVER forget. Pricing for Option F starts at $2,500.
