Barrie the Vagabond
I sing and accompany myself on guitar, banjo, and harmonica. I also play instrumentals for receptions and ceremonies.
I play traditional Celtic music (Irish and Scottish) and a raft of popular oldies with some originals snuck in. Special emphasis on Eagle, Elvis, and Dylan.
Great for business, weddings, parties, and festivals.
Price Range: $150-750
What to Expect
My audiences have come to expect a true professional who shows up on time with quality equipment (BOSE PA), and a play list that people actually enjoy. My MARK TWAIN shows always lead to referrals and audiences seem to like the Sinatra Songbook almost as much as I like playing it. And back home in Winston Salem, they call me to blues guy. I can live with that.
I've been entertaining audiences since Elvis was skinny. I've appeared in more than 20 plays, 2 movies, and dozens of cable television commercials. I sing a wide variety of sings including my own compositions. I present my show, ROOTS OF ROCK AND ROLL solo and with my trio and I have appeared as Mark Twain in my one-man play dozens of times to audiences including churches, schools, business groups, libraries, and cultural groups. Pleasing the audience is what I'm all about whether its' business events, cultural events, parties, weddings, or house concerts.
