1-A-Chord is a Contemporary Gospel band that infuses various musical genres into their sound. Their songs are original and cover everything from rock to reggae, soul to funk, blues to calypso. Their lyrics are spiritual, inspirational, and refreshingly uplifting. 1AC had been together for 10 years, prior to their 4 year hiatus, and they have taken their unique sound to many places around the nation. From New York down to sunny Florida, with many stops throughout the Midwest, Southwest, and the Southeast, 1AC is quickly adding to their already loyal following. In addition to the numerous radio interviews that they have conducted throughout the years, they have appeared on several television programs such as Atlanta Live and Singsation, which broadcasts out of Chicago on WGN. Musically, 1AC has recorded two projects (Forever Changed and Holy Is The Way). Three of their songs (Eyes of a Child (Forever Changed), Jesus On your Side, and Lifted Me (Holy Is the Way) have received significant airplay in several major markets. When it comes to their live performance, these brothers are known to bring it! By presenting a high energy, cranked up, good time performance, as prompted by the Holy Spirit, they know how to make you get up and move! 1AC has been called the Earth, Wind, and Fire of Gospel.
