Guillaume Gautreaux (Monsieur Guillaume) has roots that go deep and run wide. The tangled roots of his family tree stretch back to Acadia and what is now Alsace, France. His musical roots spread just as far, covering almost every flavor and nuance of Americana, from blues to bluegrass, Cajun to Conjunto, jazz to jump jive, Acadian to Zydeco and everything in between.

Now, Guillaume has put together a unique group of hard swingin' cats who artfully blend a wide range of North American roots music. Monsieur Guillaume and His Zydeco Hepcats successfully fuse the laissez faire party vibe of the Big Easy with the gritty dynamic attitude of the Motor City.

The Zydeco Hepcats bring their own unique energy and flamboyant flair to every song in their eclectic repertoire. They play Zydeco favorites by the likes of Buckwheat Zydeco, Jude Taylor, Nathan Williams, Boozo Chavis, Clifton and C.J. Chenier with an authentic style and irrepressible force that's guaranteed to get your fingers snapping and your feet moving. Taking turns on lead vocals, these cats can belt out the blues, croon a ballad, or shout some swingin' jump jive with the kind of feeling that reaches right into your soul. Each of them is also an adept instrumentalist capable of blasting a solo that will blow your mind or riding a riff as part of a tight, infectious rhythm machine.
