The Woodlands Parkour is a team of freerunners and tracuers, of varying levels of skill in a variety of areas. Parkour is the art of motion, of human movement. Overcoming obstacles as creatively as possible, the sport itself combining feats of strength, speed, gymnastic and acrobatic skills, as well as artistic variations of human movement.

Audiences would see the artistic extremes of human movement. Acrobatic and gymnastic skills would be showcased, along side various vaults, feats of strength, speed, balance and overall creativity.
Dives, jumps, vaults and balancing are hugely important in parkour. Railing, wall and boxes become creative mediums. Going past, over, on, or through objects become the basis of many things. Running up an 8 foot wall? No problem. Flip? All kinds. Flips on the ground, in the air, even off the walls. Vaults? No, there aren't just one type. Jump from rails only inches wide and maintain balance.
Parkour is the art of moving through an environment as efficiently as possible, moving over and through any obstacle in the path. Freerunning is similar, except it is the art of moving through an environment creatively. Both use movements such as vaulting, jumping, diving and acrobatics. There are no rules in parkour, no limits. It is the human body moving.
Our team is a family unit. The members vary in skill level and sets.
Justin "Illusion" Deffner- Formerly known as "Webster". J.D. is the captain of WPK. He's been involved for two years and is constantly pushing his teammates to go further than they thought they could. He currently attends Lonestar College, and is choreographing fight scenes and action sequences in independent films. He's known for his explosive, flashy movements, and is always more than happy to perform for a crowd. He is the main cameraman, and edits all the videos on the youtube site. He also helps teach at ATA martial arts. XMA founds the basis of many of his skills.
Brett "Tigger" Deffner- Brett is J.D.'s younger brother. He has been on the team nearly two years, is the backup cameraman, and helps edits the videos. He's always got a positive attitude, and is known for his wall climbs and step sideflips. He's small, but he makes up for that with his determination to always go a little further than yesterday.
Sean "Tarzan" Ansley- Sean is co-captain of WPK. He's been on the team for a year and a half, and is the guy that everybody can rely on. Even when injured, he still attends the practices to help his teammates and provide support. He's known for his crazy precision skills, incredible side flips, and being the Methode Naturalle athlete. He also takes part in several martial arts, and will often incorporate that into his style.
Justin "ZeroG" Deffner- Justin, known as ZeroG or JYoung, has been on the team for almost a year. He is known for his amazing ability to seemingly defy gravity when he jumps. He learns at an amazing rate, and has the biggest arsenal of acrobatics on the team. His superman flips are that of legend; he did a flat ground flip and travelled 20 feet (yes, we measured). Backflips, arabians, side flips, he truly defies limitations.
Other members of the team include:
Aaron Ferrara, Ryan Butcher, Matthew Blanchard, Spencer Midas, Alexander Woolums, Steven Blakeley and Mila Jackson
Pakour is all about adaptation. Usually, outside locations, parks, buildings are usually ideal. Objects and space are very important for showcasing the wide set of skills had by the athletes.
