The Stu Pender Quartet is a group of collegiate musicians from Naperville, IL. The quartet consists of guitar, bass, trumpet/flugelhorn, and percussion. Stu is a freshman guitarist studying in the prestegious Jazz Studies program at the State University of New York in Purchase, 35 minutes outside of the world Mecca of jazz music: New York City. He studies under Pete Malinverni, Jon Gordon, Charles Blenzig, Todd Coolman and Doug Munro, and previously has studied with Barry Harris, Rodney Jones, Scott Hesse, and Tim Fitzgerald.
