Veterans of all-star jug, swing, and Jewish bands, the Schticklers rare vigor, humor, virtuoso musicianship and timely schtick won them the 2010 Championship Battle of the Jug Bands. These veteran players, all icons in their own right, combine their talents on fiddle and dobro, swing guitars, washtub bass and washboard, five-part harmony, clogging, and the incisive, playful warmth of Jewish humor.
The musicians that make up The Schticklers are Barb Silverman, vocalist of the Teflons, Jon Spiegel, slide guitar player extraordinaire, Stuart Rosenberg, former host of Radio Gumbo, Joel Frankel, award winning Children's Musician and Bob Stelneiki, the most amazing washtub bass player around.
