Why hire The Liberty Belles Trio?

This ladies trio sings many different styles, from traditional Southern Gospel, to country gospel and bluegrass. They also enjoy singing A cappella and traditional hymns. The group consists of Judy Todd, & Dee Worley from Columbia, and Jane Hayden of Ashland MO. Jane sings the low part, with an unusual range for a female vocalist. Dee sings the lead typically, & Judy sings the high part, but they do like to switch things around to keep it interesting. They believe the best thing about singing is who they have to sing about—Jesus Christ the Son of God & Savior of man. They would be happy to minister in song for you at church services, revivals, Gospel sings, fairs, etc.

The Liberty Belles ministered through testimony and song for the past few years at the Floyd Iowa Gospel Sing. Their sweet spirit and beautiful music won our hearts! We would highly recommend them and don't hesitate to "SING" their praises. .... Pastor Paul & Dixie Phillips -- Promoters of the Floyd Gospel Sing

Liberty Bells sang at my wedding, it was beautiful!

Wedding CeremonyI have always injoyed listening to The Liberty Bells at our church. It was March 8, 2008 when they sang at our wedding. The song was, God Sent Me You. What a blessing! I looked at my husband and he looked at me and we both had tears. The way they sang that song bonded our love. I do believe The Liberty Bells can bring tears or laughter or just peace of mind to all who listen. God Bless you Liberty Bells!!! Keep on singin!

Overview

About

The Liberty Belles have ministered together since 1987, when they sang a special in their home church. They’ve had fun glorifying God in song together ever since, and love opportunities to praise Him and share their testimonies with others. They’ve sung for ladies’ meetings, festivals, fairs and revivals and at the KJAB Share-a-thon. For the last 3 years they have had the opportunity to sing at the Heritage Park Gospel Sing in Boone, Iowa, and at the Lighthouse Gospel Sing in Floyd, Iowa. They have also appeared on the Pepper and friends television show. They’ve had the wonderful opportunity to open for such groups as the Mark Trammel Trio, the Browns, the Dove Brothers and the Ascension Quartet.

They are new members of the Midwest Quartet Association, and are looking forward to attending the convention this October in Altoona, Iowa the 12th and 13th.

They are an outreach ministry of Liberty Baptist church of Columbia, MO. Their church family has been greatly supportive of their ministry, for which the Liberty Belles are extremely grateful.

They have attended the Steve Hurst School of Music in Tennessee for several years, “studying to show themselves approved to God”, and striving to improve in order to glorify God when they sing.

The group consists of Judy Todd and Dee Worley from Columbia, and Jane Hayden from Ashland MO. Bob Worley, Dee’s husband of 39 years drives the truck and is the sound engineer. Jane sings the low part, with an unusual range for a female vocalist. Dee sings the alto part, and Judy sings the sweet soprano. Judy also plays the flute beautifully, and Jane and Dee both try their hand at songwriting.

The group sings many different styles, from traditional Southern Gospel to country gospel and bluegrass. They also enjoy singing A cappella and traditional hymns. Some of the songs that they sing are original compositions.

They believe the best thing about singing is who they have to sing about—Jesus Christ the Son of God and Savior of man. Their prayer is that through their song the people who hear will be drawn closer to Him, be comforted by Him, and share with them the JOY of the Lord.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 15 - 120 minutes

The Liberty Belles do a mix of old favorites, like "It Is No Secret" to new, original songs. Some are pure Southern Gospel, some traditional a cappella hyms, some country Gospel, and yes, maybe some a little bit "bluegrassy"! We like to surpise and have some fun- after all, Christians have a reason to be happy, but bring your hankies-- down here life is hard, and we might evoke a tear or two with a testimony and a song. Judy plays the flute beautifully, "Beulah Land" is an oft requested favorite. For Christmas we also have a mix of old, new and orignal songs. Our goal is to have you leaving uplifted and closer to the Lord.
