The band has been a southern California favorite since 1993 for the music of the 50's through the early 80's performing doo wop, Motown, rock & roll, R&B, swing, big band, blues and country.

About
The Legendary Casinos" is southern California's premier "oldies" and "classic rock" band.
Started in 1993 by John Jerd, the original drummer for the famous "Gene Hughes & the Casinos", who recorded their 1967 hit song "Then you can tell me goodbye".
Gene periodically performed through out the years, but his main gig was as one of the largest country music promoters in Nashville representing many country stars to the big record labels. Gene passed away in 2004.
The "Legendary Casinos" performs the vocals tight just like Gene demanded. The band is an eight member group consisting of the finest seasoned musicians and performers you can find.
The "Legendary Casinos" performs the hits from the 50's through the early 80's including doo wop, Motown, rock & roll. R&B, disco, funk, blues and country, as well as swing and big band.
The band has performed for many large corporations, conventions, television, casinos, fairs, concerts, clubs & bars and private events such as private parties, weddings, and VFW's, Elk's Lodge, Moose Lodge etc.

What to Expect
Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 240 minutes
Extreme happyness reliving the old memories brought back by all the oldies songs. Each song brings a specific memory. First boyfriend / girlfriend. first kiss, broken heart with a breakup, cruising the local digs and your first sock hop or dance.
Oldies music with the "Legendary Casinos" has so much to offer to young and old alike. Even the young teen crowd loves to have an oldies sock hop. The girls put on their poodle dresses and the guys wear their tea shirts and black leather jackets.
The band performs a great show that will be remembered for a long time. Requests are always accepted, and the band usually knows the song that you are craving to hear.
If we know in advance, the band will learn any songs that you desire.
For the dancing crowd, oldies music provides the most versatile styles of dance, Swing, rock & roll, cha cha, slow songs and west coast swing.
What you can expect, is great entertainment and a fabulous party.

Additional Notes:
Large venues (corporate, night clubs, conventions etc) need to provide stage, lights, sound system for eight piece band and three vocalist.
Smaller events, the band may provide sound system, but not lights or stage.

Depending on the distance to travel, the band may require lodging and expenses.

Our set list's are venue specific.
For each hour of entertainment, a 15-20 minute break is required. If the event is during a meal time, we may require a meal break. Details upon request.
