Their Original Music is Awesome!

OtherI wasn’t really sure what to expect from this new indie rock band from the Pacific Northwest, so I listened to the album with no premeditated expectations. And I have to admit, I’m already a big fan of this group! With talented musicians and vocals, this rock band has all the qualities to be added to any mainstream rock collection.

The Album “Planting Bulbs” definitely does not shy away from glorifying God. Their softer rock sound is similar to other groups such as By The Tree, or Building 429. The encouragement in their lyrics is immense. Every song in this album brings praise to God in a reverent and fresh way. Songs like “Your love is” and “Heart that Wanders” reminds us of the awesomeness of God and our call to desire to seek Him first. The energetic song “Great and Glorious” is probably my album favorite. It’s well written and I couldn’t help but jump to the beat and sing along with the chorus.

I believe the band is aptly named The Incandescent because their music is bright, illuminating and will certainly be a glowing light in the music industry. This is a great debut EP and I can’t wait to see what else The Incandescent will have for us in the future!

Retreat"You want The Incandescent! These guys were a thrill to work with. This group of talented musicians and committed Christian men were more than just "the band" at our youth event. They became a worship team dedicated to the Holy Spirit's leading. Their flexibility in leading music worship and participating with students in their activities was an absolute blessing. It was amazing to work with a group of guys who know all too well where their abilities come from. Their desire to honor the King was paramount. Thank you Andrew, Shane, Kellen, and Ryan!!"

Overview

About

The Incandescent is an internationally touring four piece band from Washington state. Ryan Armstrong (Guitar) Kellen Rowe (Drums) Shane Collins (Bass) and Andrew McArdle (Guitar/Vocals). Originally Armstrong, Rowe, and McArdle came together in the fall of 2010 with an idea for a new worship band that not only used music as a tool to minister and edify, but also to achieve a platform that would allow them to reach the world for Christ. The four members are by no means new arrivals to the Christian music scene. Both Armstrong and Rowe played previously in the Christian jam band "Drawing Two." McArdle has spent time working for recording artist "Holly Starr" and played guitar in the CIC band "Counter Culture." As the most recent addition to the band, Collins joined in November of 2011 as the official bassist.

In the fall of 2011 the group came together to officially create "The Incandescent" as a full-time ministry. In October of 2011, The Incandescent began writing and recording their first independent EP, "Planting Bulbs," which released in November of 2012. Their first single, "Great & Glorious," is available through all online music stores for .99. (i.e. iTunes, Amazon MP3, Zune etc...)
