We will keep a beat pulsing all night with our powerful sound system to cover any venue/wedding/party. We also have a state of the art light system with numerous lighting effects we use for many shows including private parties, weddings and clubs. The Contractors Band's Power & Lighting will keep the show going all night long! You bring the crowd and we'll bring the party! We are available for your occasion anywhere on Long Island, New York, Southern Ct., and more. We will do our best to accomodate each and every one of your needs. There's a special and much welcomed diversity, born from the groups range of musical tastes and experience. Our influences, musical experience and who we are is what makes us unique. We are all close friends and have a sincere love of music and seeing other people have a good time. We've been playing and attending parties for years. We know first hand what we like and what most people expect out of the band. That's just one reason why we are a great "party" band. Another reason/the MAIN reason: It's our whole focus to see others having a great time and enjoying danceable/party music from, "songs forgotten to classics embraced." Our Party-Pack-Portfolio is available for you upon request or booking. It will include a cover letter, short bio, band photo, bumper sticker, business card, demo CD and setlist. We will also reply to any special request, need or concern you might have. We blend a unique combination of older classics with newer music to appeal to the tastes of a diverse crowd. We want everyone to feel included in the mix throughout the party.
Once booked for an engagement, if you have a special request beforehand that we may not currently have on our setlist, we will gladly get it down to the best of our ability for your specific needs by the time of your event.

Influences

We're influenced a lot by bands who did songs that we all remember that most bands don't do but people love. We love groove bands, 80s new wave as well and so much more. 70s disco always gets the crowd going. Donna summer and Gloria Gaynor are very popular. Sly, Wild Cherry, etc.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 240 - 300 minutes

You will experience a pulsing, non stop dance beat, rocking memories, blasts from the past, oldies that make your feet stomp and so much more. Our goal is to meet an individual crowd where they are at! Knowing the venue is important to preparing the setlist. We want people to have a good time and feel the mood! We call our band fans the "SubContractors". They are what we are all about. We also have hoola dancing at every gig. It's a crazy new fad that we developed with weighted hoolas that people have come to love. We call them our hoolaganz! It's so much fun and good for ya too. Expect to be encouraged to dance, hoola and bump some at our shows!

Additional Notes:
We have a state of the art lighting system with that includes a strobe, disco ball, waves lights and so much more. We have a very powerful Mackey sound system with huge board and effects. We have our custom made weighted hoolas for hoola dancing which is unique to the Contractors Band. We have our own sound & lighting engineer. We also have what we call the DJ5 which is a mix of DJing & live performance weddings/parties. Some people wish songs to be the original in some cases. When a cover just wont do we DJ parts of your party as per your request. We can also DJ a whole ceremony and if needed even cover a wedding ceremony live with organ or piano. We have it all and at the best price you will get. We will beat any price within reason. We have never recieved a negative about our pricing or service for a wedding or party. NEVER!!!
