This young lady is more than a triple threat. After building a successful professional federal career of 17 years learning, training, mentoring and managing with a skill set like no other, Marita has hopes of blending her career skills, educational degree, business mind and her love of music to grow a successful music management company appropriately named Stronger Than Most (S.T.M.) Management! After much research and planning, Marita set out on her endeavor in December 2011 to utilize her networking skills, technical expertise and her exceptional ability to motivate and encourage to manage music artists that have a goal of having a gainful music career in today’s music industry. With several artist development companies, studio production facilities and vocal and instrumental companies in the Detroit and surrounding areas, Marita saw that artist are getting information and training to grow their craft physically but not the skills to get their “foot in the door” with record labels, production companies, gain sponsors, build support and become either a signed artist or a successful independent artist.
With a B.A. in Communications, one-year coursework towards a Masters in Business Management and a broad spectrum of vocal performance, Rita offers not only guidance but also offers personal insight and wisdom on the business side of becoming a true professional in the music industry. Her personal vocal background includes singing with her family of 6 siblings for over 20 years, winning local contest and surprisingly placing 3rd with her 6 sibling group in the Annual Choir Detroit Talent Competition after the infamous Larry Callahan and Selected of God Choir which represents the Chrysler brand, and a 70 choir of Burning Bush International Church. Four-year business Manager of the Voices of Western Michigan University enabled her to handle all the logistics of traveling, finances and contractual agreements for at one point a 75 member choir. Marita has held the position of Director and President of youth singing group within her church along with being an active vocalist with the ability to sing soprano, alto and tenor as needed. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Jackie Clark Chisolm, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Maurette Brown Clark, Natasha Lockhart-Page and Shana Wilson are a few of the award winning recording artist Marita has had the opportunity to sing background vocals for, record professionally and or be vocally trained by. Marita also has stage-play experience as a vocalist and actor in the award winning stage play Perilous Times produced by T.J. Hemphill which has toured all over the country. Marita wants to show that all artists can have both the talent and the business savvy before they enter into music industry professionally. Marita is showing that she really is and will be an upcoming superwoman in music management.
Stronger Than Most will provide complete management services for vocal artist and musicians with booking services, guidance in registering professional names, licensing, contractual agreements, copywriting services, registering with BMI, preparing press kits, media packages, guidance on pre and post project production of music projects including understanding royalties and how finances are handled upon units sold via CD’s vs. via downloaded music, radio etiquette, studio etiquette, roles of production i.e. record label, producer, engineer , manager etc. , growing a fan base via social networks, successful national fundraising sources for projects and several other entities of being a successful and well-rounded recording artist and musicians.

I will stay true to who I am, love God, love my beautiful family, give back to the community that surrounds me and remain humble knowing my blessings come from above.”

All artist under Stronger Than Most Music Mgmt are professional and will render an uplifting, encouraging and vocally pleasing performance. All artist will travel outside the Detroit and or Virginia (Darnesha Renee) area.
