Michael Antoine of Sounds of Steel, is a second generation Steel Drum Player. The Sounds of Steel that originated in the Islands of Trinidad n Tobago with a New school twist. I have been playing the drum since the age of 9 yrs old, my father (George Antoine Sr.) brought the sounds of the Steel Drum to SWFL in the late 70's. He started a local band called SWFL Steel Drum Band. My brothers (George Antoine Jr., Harold Antoine) & Myself (Michael Antoine) continue to carry on the Legacy of our father. We are now Stronger than ever with the passion of the Pan in our hearts.

You can say that i was born into the Steel Drum game, my father George Antoine Sr. Who actually started the first Steel Drum band in SWFL during the late 70's. He is no longer taking on any gigs at this time. No worries though, he has left his mark in the music world with his three very talanted sons. George Antoine Jr., Harold Antoine, and myself Michael Antoine. Born & bred with the passion of the pan in our hearts. As you can see i come from a long line of musicians so my influences come from within. At a very young age I was going on and learning the ways of the steel drum music industry. I feel this is what I was meant to do so here I am.
