Studio SessionSmokey is a very talented musician. I had him play the accordion for a film score I had written. He was excellent at playing the music as written, taking direction and also improvising some really great stuff for me. His musicianship really brought my music to a whole new level! He is very easy to work with and professional with a great musical background and I would highly recommend him.

Wedding Cocktail HourSmokey played the accordian and guitar at my friends wedding last weekend and what a great evening. I found Smokey on GIgSalad and passed the information to my friend Marty for her wedidng on the beach in Oxnard. Smokey was hired for the event. He was on time and provided wonderful music during the cocktail party playing the accordian. He switched to his guitar at the reception and did a great job. He had us all dancing in the aisle. Thank you Smokey.

Overview

About

I have been playing a variety of instruments, singing and songwriting for over 50 years.

I have done shows solo and as a bandleader worldwide including performing at the Cannes Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, American Film Market Italy, The Caribbean and throughout the U.S.and Canada.

I was a finalist on Fox Network's "Thirty Seconds to Fame", performed for judges Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne and Howie Mandel on "America's Got Talent" and have also been seen on Stan Lee's "Who Wants to Be a Superhero", "Blind Date", TMZ, "The Tom Green Show" CNN and numerous other programs.

I perform in clubs, concerts, schools, retirement homes, hospitals, parties, weddings, funerals and special events and holiday parties including lu'aus, St. Patrick's Day, Halloween, Mexican (as character El Pulpo), Bastille Day, Oktoberfests, Italian festivals, Christmas (fully dressed as Santa Claus) and Jewish holidays. I sing, play music emcee, and tell jokes and stories when requested.

I have had two albums on the Grammy Awards shortlist, one of which "Waiting for the Hurricane", was produced by Otis Blackwell who wrote the biggest hits for Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, James Taylor and Peggy Lee. I have hosted cable tv shows including the award-winning "The Smokey Miles Music Hour", and as my alter-ego, the comedic vampire Count Smokula, "The Count Smokula Show". I have also composed music for and appeared in numerous films, tv shows and award-winning theater shows.

I compose songs for any occasion as requested.

I can be seen playing accordion in Bob Dylan's music video "Must Be Santa" on youtube, as well as videos listed under Smokey Miles and Count Smokula.

I have a wide repertoire and do shows including acoustic, rock, blues, French, Italian, German, Jewish, Irish, Spanish, gypsy, children's and cabaret.

I can bring other acts when requested including dancers, jugglers, mimes, magicians, and various circus acts.

I also do ventriloquism, puppetry and palm-reading. I am ordained by the Universal Life Church to perform weddings and other ceremonies.

I can get people to sing, get up and dance or just relax and have a great time!
