Sarah McIntyre, soprano, is a 2012 finalist in The American Prize: Chicago Opera Award and the Long Leaf Opera National Voice Competitions. She has also been named a national finalist in the 2012 Friedrich and Virginia Schorr Memorial Award in Art Song, and a finalist in the Opera Award, both sponsored by The American Prize.

On stage, she most recently portrayed Sister Agatha/ Maria U/S. for Chamber Opera Chicago's production of Rodger's & Hammerstein's: The Sound of Music, Magnolia in a concert performance of the music of Jerome Kern’s Show Boat hosted by comedian Jimmy Goson, Jane Bennett in the Chicago Premiere of Jacob and Baker’s: Pride & Prejudice, and Mrs. Harville in a new adaptation of Jane Austen’s Persuasion. Operatic roles include Pamina in Die Zauberflte with Verismo Opera Theatre, the title role of Zaide with the Amadeus Opern Ensemble in Salzburg, Austria; Carmen (Frasquita) with Lexington Opera and Chamber Opera Chicago; Hansel & Gretel (Dew Fairy), Gian Carlo Menotti's Vanessa, and Amahl & the Night Visitors with Chamber Opera Chicago; Midsummer Night's Dream (Helena) and L’elisir d’amore with Sugar Creek Symphony; Die Fledermaus (Adele) with Belmont Opera Theatre; Mitislav the Modern (Jou Jou) with Chicago Folks Operetta; Dialogues of the Carmelites (Sister Catherine) with Converse Opera Theatre; Old Maid & the Thief (Miss Pinkerton), and Felice in Test Tube, at which time, she was the first to sing the fully staged role of Milton Granger's Opera (Samford Opera Theatre).

This summer, Ms. McIntyre will be heard at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra annual fundraiser in an evening of Italian Opera honoring Riccardo Muti. She has appeared as a soloist on the Chicago Lyric Opera Guild Concert Series, Northbrook Parisian Salon Series, Omnitones Chamber Ensemble, Chicago Chamber Ensemble, the Lira Ensemble, and in Chamber Opera Chicago's Te Amo: An evening of Spanish Music and Dance. In 2008, she appeared at Orchestra Hall as a guest soloist for the annual Rush Medical Center Fundraiser. She performed Puccini's Vissi d’arte and the love duet from Tosca, Verdi's Brindisi from La Traviata, and a collection of Neapolitan songs most recently in a concert with the Calumet Chamber Musicians.

On screen, Ms. McIntyre has recently appeared in a T-Mobile national television commercial under the direction of Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (Glee) and Musical Director Paul Mirkovich. Other credits include A&E’s The Beast and Michael Mann’s Public Enemies.

Ms. McIntyre holds a Master of Music degree in Vocal Pedagogy & Performance from Belmont University and Bachelor of Music in Performance from Samford University.

Ms. McIntyre is an artist with Star Gate Productions, bringing the romantic era of Italian Neapolitan songs and the nostalgic music of American Pop classics to theaters throughout the world.
