Launch Party The closest experience to actually being in Brazil while still being in Chicago that you are going to recieve. Working with Samba1 was very smooth, productive and exciting. Shirely is brillant, passionate, talented and beautiful and her work embodies it all. She really does an incredible job with bringing the heart of Brazilian culture into your experience or to your event. She is Samba. Everyone involved in Samba1 shares the same passion. Incredible group of people. I literally can not wait until the next event, lol. or the next time I get a chance to work with them. I'm working on it lol.

About

Shirley Vieira was born in Rio de Janeiro. Vieira has been dancing since age 15. Costume wordrobe is a collection of 15 years of carnival. The costumes comes from Rio de Janeiro's carnival parade. Others are re-created here in Chicago. We have a collection of more the 100 costumes and lately started creating our own design to enhance our collection and have more to offer. Edilson Lima as choreographer has also enhanced Samba1 in the past 7 years and together we bring the best to offer of a Brazilian culture with its authenticity.

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 1 - 60 minutes

The audience will first be extremely surprised to see the kind of costumes that only have been seen in Rio! They will be impressed with the colors and feathers. They will admire the gorgeous samba dancers. They will want to try some headpieces to take photos. They will also snap many photos. Soon, they will be on the dancing floor with us. The goal is not just to showcase samba, but to give them all an experience to feel the energy and dance with us.
The experience from our services will be unforgettable!!!! We have been so long in this business, which should prove our credibility, authenticity and professionalism! We are all Brazilians and we do it with our heart!

Additional Notes:
We are very low profile. We request a private dressing room. We bring music, costumes, dancers, band if requested, sound system is requested. Capoeira dancers, if requested. Belly Dancers, if requested. Client has only to ask and we will manage to provide.
The best about Samba1? We are all BRAZILIAN which is different from any other dancers in Chicago! As Brazilians we carry the "ginga" that no other culture could offer and/or learn and/or imitate! Why? Because if comes in the blood and in the heart! That's called being ORIGINAL!

Set/Song/Sequence List:
We craft our request per client's request. WE go for a full show with 3 sets to a 3 minute show! Client is the boss and we listen and do it. We tailor as planed, we may offer to plan with them, but client usually knows what they want to do and we just play along!
