I accessed this site, Gig Salad, on relatively short notice prior to our sporting event.
Anji contacted me shortly after I completed the information, and was genuinely concerned about our plans.
Her price was extremely reasonable, and we made the final preparations.
Anji arrived in plenty of time ahead of schedule.
And then she performed.
Wow !
What a Voice !
When she sang "America The Beautiful" , I got goosebumps.
She is a soulful, Gospel Singer, that even The Great Mister Ray Charles would have been moved.
She then performed "The Star Spangled Banner", which would have made Miss Whitney Houston proud.
Absolutely Beautiful.
Anji was extremely professional, courteous, and a true pleasure to hear.
We wish her well, and will be in contact with her in the future.
God Bless.

A Vocalist extraordinaire!
Born June 23, 1963, this Milwaukee, Wisconsin native is no stranger to gospel music!
Angela Collins (a.k.a. Princess Anji) attended North Division and St. Joan Antida High Schools in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It was at St. Joan Antida HS where she discovered her true love for theatrical arts and music. While there, she vigorously pursued drama classes and, later, went on to win first place in Milwaukee’s Summer fest! with the opening song from The Gershwin’s’ PORGY AND BESS " Summertime" Anji's father Joseph Edgar Whiteside a former camera man at the Ritz in Chicago taught Princess to sing and listen to the Big Bands and refined artist like Tommy Dorsey, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Count Basie, Lena Horne and non other than the late great Mahalia Jackson. This developed her vocals and cultivated a wide range vocal skill.
As time progressed, she released “Since I turned Sixteen” Blues cut, toured with Tenderness, and appeared on Bobby Jones Gospel Christmas Celebration. Anji was the opening act for the late Tyrone Davis in the 80′s and later opened for the late Bishop Walter Hawkins & Lashaun Pace at the Alabama A& M University. It is reported that “you could hear a pin drop” as she sang “The Lord’s Prayer”.
Anji’s debut CD “Learning” was released in 2008 and quickly established her as a rising Gospel great! Her unique style of delivering the word of God thru music is simply phenomenal!
Anji a survivor of domestic violence and rape; however, she found peace and healing only from the Word of God. She wants the world to know that “You can overcome any obstacle by the total surrender of your will and your pain to the God of all gods. He can Heal, He will restore and He does Love.”
In 2008, Anji founded Malachi Records & Publishing, LLC, a ministry of singers, song writers, authors, praise dancers, medical missionaries, producers, pastors, consultants, prayer warriors and motivational speakers that desire to carry the message of our Lord and Savor Jesus Christ to a dying nation. Recently Princess recently opened concert for Lucinda Moore 2011 Stella Award Winner Gospel Artist at Vision of Faith benefit concert for the Homeless and Domestic Violence Survivors in New Britain Connecticut.
