I take a very professional approach to my bookings so whether you are the client or an event planner you can be assured that booking my act will be an excellent experience.

My groups have been booked to play many events in the Ottawa area over the past few years so I bring a great deal of experience to every performance.

My small groups - East Side Trio, East Side Quartet - are great choices for excellent live jazz. My solo act - Ralph Hopper, One Man Saxophone Band - is unique in the Ottawa area.

I also perform with two large jazz bands - one that performs many of the favourites from the era of big band jazz all the way to jazz arrangements of contemporary tunes. This band would be a great band to book if you want the big, full sound of an 18-piece jazz band so that your event gets lots of people on the dance floor all night long.

What to Expect

Each performance is planned for the specific venue and event. Whether performances have been booked to be background music - for restaurants or wedding reception cocktails and dinner - or an energetic concert for a corporate conference, I frequently receive comments from audience members that the music has been enjoyable and entertaining.

Stage/Setup Requirements:
I supply all the instruments and sound equipment required for any booking.

Additional Notes:
I provide any sound equipment that is required and all that is needed on site is access to a power outlet.
