Blessing people through their music is something the Cornell’s have been doing for many years. Their commitment to love the Lord and each other continues to grow stronger. Their presentation touches the hearts of audiences wherever they go. Mike, Darla, and Patti sing and share their testimonies throughout the United States and the world. They have appeared in churches, auditoriums and have been fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to be in concert with some of the very best in Southern Gospel Music, such as Legacy Five, Palmetto State Quartet, Lisa Daggs, (from the Gaither Homecoming video series), The Gathers’, The Hoppers, and the legendary “Andre’ Crouch” and most recently, “The Martins”, “The Isaacs” and “Larry Ford” again from the Gaither Homecoming videos as well as “John Starnes” “The Blackwood Quartet”, “Deno”, “Gerald Crabb” and “The Hinson’s. They have been featured on television and radio. Recently they were honored to be nominated for 5 SGN Diamond Awards of which three were “Trio of the Year”, “Album of the Year”, and “Song of the Year”.
The Cornell’s travel extensively in the United States and around the world specifically to South Africa where their ministry has impacted tens of thousands through one on one ministry to crusades where several thousand attend to even feeding those in impoverished areas through our feeding program, they are currently involved in building an orphanage near the city of Hammaans Kraal. They travel for one goal and that is to see souls saved, plant seeds for harvest, and uplift Christians. With rich family harmony, lively energetic style, humor, and love for God, they encourage and uplift people wherever they minister.

Mike sings the lead as well as tenor and baritone for the group and is also the manager of the group. Mike has been singing and playing gospel music since the age of five when he sang his first song in church. He and his wife Darla have been singing together for the past 25 years either as a duet or as part of many groups of which they had organized, but most recently they were the associate and music pastors for 7 years at a church in their home town of Bakersfield, CA after which they felt the call of God to step into full time ministry in early 2009. Mike has a wonderful testimony of God’s grace and mercy and healing in his life which he shares about often in services and concerts across the country and world.


Darla sings alto, lead and even soprano for the trio her warm soulful voice brings a uniqueness to the group, and her genuine spirit of worship is evident on and off the stage. Darla’s legacy of gospel music reaches back to her childhood as she sang and toured around the United States and Hawaii with her family group “The Robert Keith Singers”. Darla has also been blessed with an anointing and ministry helping those who are dealing anxiety and depression and has spoke at many venues and women’s gatherings as guest speaker. Darla is married to Mike Cornell and helps him manage the group at home and on the road.


Patti is not only Darla’s mother but is the newest member of the group and sings everything from lead to tenor. Patti is no stranger to gospel music and her legacy includes sharing the stage with the gospel greats from “JD Sumner and the Stamps”, “The Hinson’s”, “The Tally’s”, “The Weatherfords”, “The Downing’s” and many others. She has also had the honor to perform at the mother church of country music, the historic “ Ryman” auditorium. Patti brings not only warm heart felt vocals to the group but also a spirit of prayer and outreach to those she comes in contact with on and off the stage. We are thankful to have her with us as we journey this road together

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 60 - 120 minutes

Stage/Setup Requirements:
Mike and Darla would need stage area to be cleared of any small items not needed for this event, prior to assigned load in time, such as pulpit ,excess chairs and sound equiptment, ie.. microphones and stands, monitors, ect.

Additional Notes:
Mike and Darla Cornell will expect that check/payment should be made payable to: Cornell Ministries reflecting the amount or conditions as per the confirmation e-mail that will be sent after booking has been confirmed via telephone, letter or e-mail, and be prepared after concert/service and given to artist before artist departure. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.


Mike and Darla Cornell Trio will provide sound equiptment with coverage up to 500 people. For venues expecting attendence above 500, said venue should provide quality professional sound with sound tech.

Mike and Darla would also need for the venue to be available two and one half hours before scheduled start time of event for load in and sound check. Venue should also be cooled and or heated at that time.

Mike and Darla would also need, based on distance traveled 2 hotel rooms.

Mike and Darla would also need if available 2 cooled and or heated, private rooms for changing and quit time before event.

Mike and Darla would appreciate any other amenities that you the coordinator think would be helpful to them such as water.
