About

I grew up in Rhode Island as a determined, artistic kid. My mom gave me my first Polaroid camera at around 10 years-old, and then came the big time – a pocket camera - Canon Powershot on my 14th birthday. I shot everything with it.

At about the age of 11 or so, I was infatuated with weddings. My sister and I would listen for honking horns every Saturday and Sunday. And at that sound, we would jump on my bike (me on the seat, her on the handle-bars) and pedal as fast as I could to the end of my street to Marconi Gardens. I did not want to miss the bride!

We would hide in the bushes hoping to catch a glimpse of her in that big white poufy dress, billowing over like meringue on a lemon pie. What did she choose for a dress – would it have a train? what would her color scheme be? what type of flowers would she be carrying? what would her veil look like? short and sassy hitting her shoulders or would it be as long as a cathedral aisle cascading around her picturesque face, sweeping along the grass as she walked past. It was fascinating as a child to see such beauty and radiance.

It was then; I instinctively knew I wanted to capture these perfect moments for couples at their best, in their most joyous, emotional magnificence.

I received a Certification from the University of Washington in Black & White Fine Art Photography, and have been shooting weddings for the past 10 years. It all started as a child, but progressed when I needed a project for my class one semester.

It tickles me that I am able to capture all the different emotions and moments from a wedding - from the beaming smiles of a new bride & groom to the delicate beadwork on a bride’s shoe. All the details of a wedding are my inspiration and the resulting images become timeless remembrances for you.

The most common question from couple's during my initial meetings is "why do you enjoy photographing weddings?" My answer is always the same, "Well, even now, my biggest thrill is seeing the bride for the first time. It brings me back time and time again." www.massephoto.com

I shoot with Canon products, versed in Adobe Creative Suites (PhotoShop), and love all sorts of gadgets and technology.
