Brazilian native Luciana Da Silva is a highly acclaimed Brazilian-trained Samba dancer, producer, and cultural ambassador with over 20 years of experience. As the founder and owner of Luciana da Silva Dance, LLC, she has dedicated her life to preserving and promoting Brazilian culture through dance, performance, and education. Maintaining the traditions and authenticity of her Brazilian cultural heritage is a fundamental value for Luciana, alongside her commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding. Based in New York City, she is a full-time Samba performer, dance educator, and curator of immersive cultural experiences.
Luciana's artistic expertise spans various dance disciplines, including Afro-Brazilian dance, Forró, Belly Dance, Flamenco (Gypsy), and Samba—her primary passion. She has worked extensively with diverse communities, using dance as a tool for empowerment, healing, and connection.
In addition to performing and teaching, Luciana is a producer of cultural events, and festivals, a Carnival experience curator (bringing groups to Brazil to experience carnival), and a certified English, Portuguese, and Spanish interpreter.
