About

I have been singing since childhood. Venues have included church services/events, festivals, community events, showcases and theater. I have an Interdiscipinary Bachelor of Arts Degree, which includes studies in theater, vocal performance and management. I graduated honorably from Columbia College Chicago in 1998. Vocal instructors included talented musicians Orbert Davis, Carol Loverde, Bobbi Wilsyn & H.E. Baccus. I have training and experience singing Christian, Jazz, Pop & Musical Theater pieces. I have received the following awards/musical grants: IL Arts Council Grants in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2005 & 2009 and the Arion Vocal Performance Award in 1989. I am willing to sing at most types of events including business events, church events/services, cruises, fairs, festivals, charity events/fundraisers, holiday parties, luncheons/teas, private parties, religious celebrations, wedding ceremonies/receptions. I am happy to perform anything from one song up to a full set of songs, which is one hour. I sing 1-2 songs at church services and related events gratuitously, based on the location and my availability. Additionally, I offer a 10% discount to non-profit organizations that support art or humanitarian causes and to individuals hosting events for charitable reasons. I make weddings special and unique by customizing my performance especially for the bride and groom. I am willing to learn any song(s) chosen, as long as it's in my vocal range. For other types of events, please contact me for my wide repertoire of songs. I am happy to work with you to make the music at your event exactly the way you want it. I perform with professional fully orchestrated accompaniment tracks, as is the standard for many professional vocalists. I can also perform with live accompaniment (provided by you) at your request.

What to Expect

Every song that I sing is a gift to God for the gift that He has given to me. I try to capture and communicate the emotion that each particular song makes me feel. No matter the occasion, or the type of the song, I try to make my audience feel the lyrics and be swept away in the moment. What an audience feels is based on the lyrics of the music..i.e., joy, gratitude, love, victory, etc.
