This band ruined our wedding

Wedding Reception This band is awful and they truly destroyed our wedding, and none of them seemed to care about it. They got their $4,000.00 and that's all they cared about. The lead singer "George" who was our contact informed my wife that we could put music on an ipod for them to play as we wanted certain songs for our entrances and dances. I deleted and entire ipod nano and put only five songs on it. Each song was in order of which were to be played and labled "wedding party intro" "bride and groom intro" "bride and groom first dance" "father daughter first dance" and "mother son first dance". Well they screwed that all up. They started introducing the wedding party with no music at all,and when I asked the wedding coordinator what was going on she had no idea. I had to have the members of my wedding party stop entering the banquet room and my brother in law had to turn the ipod on for them. Then when it came time to have our first dance as a married couple they decided to cut our song off at a little more than the halfway point of the song. My wife then got up to dance with her father and they played the song we had programmed for my mother and I. I had to go up there and change the songs for them. DISASTER! Then they attemepted to sing songs but seemed to not know any of the words to what they were singing. Our photographer, the representative from the hotel, and our guests all realized how terrible the band was and we haven't stop hearing about it since. When my wife called George 2 days ago he informed her that he had laryngitis and that is why he was not singing the songs right! Come on, what a joke.... I highly advise against using this band. They did not give a shred of care about making our wedding a special day, and ran off with our money like thieves in the night. Based in Key West, Florida, Key West Steel Drum Band has the reputation of being one of the "Best Island Bands" in Key West and the Florida Keys. We specialize in tropical weddings and receptions, but we also play at a number of other events such as corporate events, fundraisers, anniversaries, birthday parties and more.

With roots from the Caribbean islands, Key West Steel Drum Band is well known for high-energy and interactive performances. The musicians are all from the islands, giving you an authentic, Caribbean sound. The band is very professional, both in their attire and approach to every event.

Key West Steel Drum Band offers a wide variety of original and cover music, from traditional reggae and calypso, to modern day soca and dancehall.

We also perform some Top 40 hits, folk songs, Jimmy Buffet selections, traditional and other popular wedding music and wedding songs.

Depending upon your budget requirements, the steel drum band can be as small as a solo steel drum player, or as large as a Ten–piece concert band. All acts include a steel drum player, which will get your guest up and dancing.
