Expanding on influences the likes of REM, Bob Dylan, The Violent Femmes, Johnny Cash, Bruce Springsteen and Townes Van Zant, Jon Lyle returns with the help of long-time friends, percussionist Daniel Tarbox and bassist Donnie Berry as the acoustic-driven trio, The Bravest Retreat. Relying on simple musical arrangements, thought provoking lyrics and
elements of folk, rock, alt country and blues under the broad umbrella of the Americana/roots genre, the trio produces a truly original sound.
