I just started performing acoustic shows in May of 2009. It has been a lifelong dream of mine to sing and play guitar, and I guess I finally reached that point in my life where I was tired of looking back and wishing I'd done it when I was younger. Since May I've had the opportunity to play in almost every venue that offers live music locally, and I am seriously having the time of life!!! When I connect with the crowd, and see them react to a song I'm performing, it's like my own personal cocaine!!! Crowd interaction is the biggest reason I sing. Early in 2011 I decided it was time to put together my own band, and I feel as though the music Gods are shining down on me because I have been fortunate enough to assemble 4 other musicians who are absolutely the most awesome pickers and singers!! The John Miner Band consists of two lead guitars, a rhythm guitar (me), 3 vocals, a bass and drummer. Both of the lead guitar players also play other instruments, and you might hear some mandolin, keyboards, banjo, and some blues harp (harmonica) at one of our shows. If you book us I promise we will have a good time!!! We love it too much not to, and we think you will too!!!
