We are the areas PREMIER Country/rock band!! We have shared the stage with Jake Owen, Eric Church, Lady Antebellum, Rodney Atkins, and many others!! We have been spreading the word and building a rabid fan base in every town we play. We recently spent 3 weeks playing in Iowa, South Dakota, and Wyoming, and have played countless gigs in Missouri and Illinois. Jerad was the winner of the Colgate Country Showdown, and has since released a Nashville-recorded album and toured the country to support it! The rest of the band, Blackgrass, is a bonafide explosive concoction of unmatchable talent, hand-picked by Jerad himself from several other local bands to put on a one-of-a-kind musical experience!

PURE, UNADULTERATED, STRAIGHT-TO-THE-GUT COUNTRY! We don't pretend to be something we're not; we are a country band with the punch of a hard rock band and we leave nothing to chance! We make sure EVERYONE in our audience has a good time and becomes a fan of BLACKGRASS!!
Jerad Harness has not been around the world. Yet. He hails from a small town on the Mississippi where he is revered for his generosity and his marathon Thursday karaoke sessions. But he has the Travelin' Itch. And he wants to be heard. His voice is strong. Some say he has completed all four years of the "Ox-Voice-Strong-Man" regimen of the revered vocal dojo Hanni Ya Naanjooksprit. He hollers and sings so that the three confluence states of the Midwest can hear him, like a stentorian siren song of the Mississippi swamp fog. They hearken. He will be heard. Around the world and, as soon as the band finishes building their inter-stellar quantum particle disseminator, beyond.
Jordan Egler always assumed that rock-&-roll was the province of debauched English superstars and shirtless Majesty-of-Rock stadium bands. But in high school, when a friend played the first four bars of "Stairway To Heaven" on a crappy acoustic, the epiphany hit. Rock could be played by any aimless Midwestern teenager! From then on it was total immersion in all things guitar. Grades dropped, hair grew long, parents fretted, and the girls took notice. Countless bands followed, and the styles were ranging: Garage Slop, Aimless Jamoramma, Inebriated Blues, Southern Fried, Dance Pop, Folkaholic, Country, and Misunderstood Space Rock.
Multiply that by horniness and inebriation, subtract inhibition, add a backyard trash fire and divide by 5 and you end up with Blackgrass-style Redneck Swamp Rock. With all the guys in Blackgrass pooling their professionalism and their love of raucous live shows, Jordan is certain he can help inspire a new generation of aimless Midwestern teenagers to pick up their guitars and keep the flame alive.
Rock at all costs!
Joe Gallagher is the drummer. Big deal. Big deal? did I hear you say? Yeah, it's a big deal. You try banging the holy living shit out of a big drum kit for four hours a night behind a heavy hitting group of Badasses and see how you think Big Deal. The inverse proportion of his solidity and stamina to your puny flailings would astound and embarass us all. So don't even try. Precision and power. Patterns and poppycock. And Joe also likes cats.
Rock at all costs!
Nathan Gosnell plays guitar. And drums and guitar. And he sings and plays guitar. But in this band he plays bass. He can do this because he's a True Musician. And True Musicians can play whatever the hell's lying around and make it sound like music. Good music. He's also got Musical Pride. This is important, because unlike guitar players and singers, bass players are not allowed to screw up. Ever. So while Nathan would probably rather be playing guitar, he's the guy in the band who has enough musical pride to play the instrument that Holds It All Together. Nathan also donates locks of his hair to charity on a weekly basis.
Rock at all costs!
Chris Buchanan is a cipher. An abstruse conundrum of perplexity. He says he grew up in Philidelphia, but speaks with a heavy German accent. He says he's a Regular Joe, but he drives a Subaru. He says he's not a cop, but we've never seen him do anything illegal, which, in our book, is a bit suspicious. He can go from cerebral and verbose, to plangent and morose with a sinister twist of his moustache. But, he can also play pedal steel as if he's dedicated his life to it. Which, perhaps he has. Or maybe this is all some musician's witness-protection plan; we can't seem to get a straight answer out of him. But while we wait for some transparency, some "Ah-ha" moment of clarity, we continue to have our musical asses kicked by this killer slidesman. Welcome aboard, matey!
We require 6 20-amp circuits and beers. Thats pretty much it.
