Lively host, fierce poet, beautiful presence!
Mason helped out as both a host and a performing poet at the launch party for our new magazine, APIARY. It was a big event - 30 some readers - and we needed all the help we could get in corralling the crowd and keeping up with changes to the schedule. We could not have asked for a better host. Mason - leaving another hosting gig across time and arriving EARLY to our event - got our slightly sluggish audience re-engaged in the proceedings, kept everybody both at ease and feeling lively, and - when it was time to take the mic - ROCKED the crowd with a vibrant performance and very high energy. One fabulous aspect was Mason's ability to stay flexible and keep smiling, even as we had to adjust the schedule, and to ad lib really beautiful introductions to folks known personally or even not so personally. A true professional and a great person to have on your team!

Spoken Word Artist, Emcee
J Mase has a very special and dynamic way of building rapport with an audience and engaging diverse groups of people on and off the performance stage. I've had the pleasure of seeing Mason in action at educational training workshops as well as concert venues across Philadelphia where I've been in attendance. I have also had the great privilege of collaborating with him in live performance. As a musician, I appreciate the level of passion, wit, innovation, and effortless mastery that J Mase continues to render through his craft as a spoken word artist. Not to mention his remarkable abilities as a host and well-informed group facilitator. Without a doubt, J Mase is an exceptional and dedicated artist who delivers each and every time. I guarantee that you will not be disappointed, and I'm definitely looking forward to our continued work together.

I have had the pleasure of working with Mason over the past 5 years on various educational and performance events throughout Philadelphia and the surrounding area. Mason has the unique ability to engage with a diverse audience using his humor, intelligence, and knack for the spoken word in a way that is both approachable and thought provoking. Mason's passion for life is contagious and clearly shines through in his work. Very rarely will you find such a gifted public speaker in every sense. I wish I had more opportunities to work with Mason. Get him while you can!

I booked J Mase III at a recent musical event. He was on time and fit well between musical sets. His poetry was exactly what we needed to keep the evening flowing as some of the musicians took breaks. I would definitely invite J Mase III back to do it again.
