Dave Herzog is a steel pan (steel drum) performer and teacher. He resides in Detroit Lakes Minnesota in the late Spring, Summer, and Autumn months. He has performed over 300 weddings-some ceremony only, some ceremony and reception, and some reception only. He specializes in island music, but his repertoire includes many styles including classical wedding tunes.

Dave can perform as background music for a corporate event, background dinner music for a wedding or formal event, and can also keep the audience involved when singing island standards.

Dave Herzog has been performing on the steel pan (steel drum) for about 20 years. He plays solo - either acoustically or with a small PA - for weddings, corporate functions, private parties and events.

Dave is currently the steel drum player for a national touring band, Howard Livingston and the Mile Marker 24 Band out of the Florida Keys. With Mile Marker 24 Band he has performed live on the CBS Early Show with Dave Price, on Good Morning America with Sam Champion, on the NBC Today Show with Al Roker and Matt Lauer, and filmed with Samantha Brown of the Travel Channel which aired in August 2009. With Mile Marker 24 Band, Dave also performed on Christmas Day on the Weather Channel's Guaranteed White Christmas - where the Weather Channel brought a snow making machine to the Florida Keys and made it snow!!

Dave was nominated for Musician of the Year in 2008 and 2009 by the Margarita Mafia for the annual Trop Rock Music Awards. In 2009 at the Trop Rock Music Awards, Mile Marker 24 Band received awards for "Band of the Year, Song of the Year (I'm Living On An Island), CD/Album of the Year (I'm Living On An Island), and Entertainer of the Year. Dave has performed on stage with Mile Marker 24 for audiences of thousands as the headliner band during Jimmy Buffett's annual fan club convention, Meeting of the Minds in 2007, 2008, and 2009 - and upcoming in 2010.

Dave spends his winters in the Florida Keys, and his summers in Detroit Lakes Minnesota. He has played for over 300 weddings in the last few years, and dozens of private and corporate events.

He performs in the late spring, summer and autumn months in Minnesota. He travels extensively through the lakes area (Detroit Lakes, Bemidji, Brainerd, Alexandria, St. Cloud) and also to Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnetonka, and White Bear Lakes areas.

Dave can perform background steel drum music for a dinner party, or involve the audience with adult humor/innuendo performing songs like 'Big Bamboo' or 'Viagra'. Of course his performance is based on the audience and he always keep the tone appropriate for the occasion.
