Hey Heather, you act like this man shouldve know the child was Autistic. Did anyone disclose this, or is he supposed to read minds? Did Kim let the hostess know there was an issue(at the event), so it couldve been handled in an ADULT manner??? No, she just proceeded to attack Hank. To diffuse the situation, he walked away. If this child had an issue with social skills(as it clearly appears he did on this day), maybe they shouldve been better supervised so this exact issue didnt happen...instead of unsupervised. His father was sitting 10 feet away during this point in time, maybe he shouldve gotten up when an issue arose....instead of pulling the Autism card. Autism should NOT be used as an excuse for poor parenting skills......this child has behaved well in other social situations, so this is NOT his normal behavior. There were other kids who got air blown in their faces, AS PART OF THE ACT, including my own....and i had absolutely no issue with it. It was all in FUN...not meant to harm anyone. Most, if not all children at the age of 12 understand the concept of waiting in line.Hank was there to entertain, and that is exactly what he did. So Sorry you didnt approve of the entertainment for the night. This was a party to celebrate Jacks 70th birthday....maybe its time to see that and knock this childish stuff off!!! Hank did a great job, as he always does....so sorry you dont agree. Your solution, dont use his services in the future. My solution, ignore ignorant people and i will book him again in a heartbeat.....Problem solved.

This man needs to be educated in working with children.
As a professional working with children with autism, I can tell you this "entertainer" needs a lesson in working with children. The latest research shows1 in 49 children are diagnosed with autism in NJ. This means that most likely a child with autism WILL be at your social event. Social skills remain the greatest challenge for children with autism. As an "entertainer" it is your job to entertain your guests. It is not your role to instruct children on turn taking skills. It is not appropriate to yell at children "wait your turn" or to blow air in their faces. To a child suffering with autism, these actions could actually be considered ABUSIVE. As an entertainer, it is your job to recognize the facial expressions and actions of the children you are entertaining and respond. After all, the goal is to create smiles and help everyone at the party have a good time. Turn taking is a very difficult social skill that is challenging to ALL children. Redirection works much better than yelling and blowing air in their face. This party was a small party to celebrate the birthday of a 70 year old man. About 10 children in total attended. 10 brothers, sisters, cousins. I believe the purpose of the balloon twister was to entertain the children so the adults could relax and celebrate. When a child asked for a cat, he was yelled at and air blown in his face. The mother attempted to explain the situation, but was ignored,
8 other children got balloons and left. 3-4 adults came, got balloons and left... One child remains. .. Sitting patiently right in front of the "entertainer" waiting for his balloon. Who was it? The brother of the child pleading for a cat. While this "entertainer" was giving out social skills lessons. He decided to teach this child's brother a lesson and have him wait until all the children and adults got their balloons before he would get a turn. All the children were gone...Dancing on the dance floor.
One child waits...The grandmother approached the entertainer in hopes to give this child a balloon. The entertainer walked away....
