GODS OF THUNDER has been performing with much success since 2003 due to strict attention to detail regarding our on stage performance. We are one of the most authentic KISS tribute bands in the world. Our look starts with exact reproductions of the Love Gun/AliveII costumes and platform boots and continues with the make up, hair (NO WIGS) and resemblance to KISS when they were at their peak in the 70's. HUGE lighted KISS sign and all the on stage effects that made KISS the most popular band in the 70's. We even use the same guitars, drums and amplifiers they used so we can recreate the entire personna and sound of KISS.

Our efforts go far beyond a stage performance....we always arrive early and stay late to ensure that all fans in attendance enjoyed their nite and got the pictures and autographs of their favorite members. After all, we are about the people that paid their hard earned money to come see us. KISS fans are the most critical and it's our mission to ensure they got the BEST!!! We love what we do and we LOVE our fans and friends.

We self promote every show. We maintain an email list on our web site and additionally maintain current and up to date profiles on MySpace, Facebook, Tribute City and Tribute Band. Aggressive assistance from us is provided to all venue managers, promoters and promotional companies to ensure they have all promotional items needed to ensure that all avenues of promotion have been vigorously attacked. Most bands feel that once a gig has been booked, their job is done...all they have to do is show up and perform. NOT US!!!

Influences

We all LOVE the bands from the days of what is now referred to as CLASSIC ROCK. We're not trying to take away from the bands that made an impact in their era, but that's when we feel music was BEST. There are way too many bands to list, so we'll leave it at that.

Oh, by the way......KISS is a huge influence (duh). We are all HUGE KISS fans!!! KISS Army Forever!! ROCK ON!!

What to Expect

Typical Gig Duration: 90 - 180 minutes

GODS OF THUNDER presents you with an authetic recreation of a 70's era KISS concert. Remember those days? KISS' stage show was incredible! With Gene spitting blood and breathing fire and playing a bass guitar like no one else could. Paul strutting the stage and whipping the audience into a frenzy. One of the best frontmen ever. Ace literally melting the strings during his smoking guitar solo. Peter pounding the drums...and who could ever forget BETH.

Our costumes, platform boots and stage performance is a mirror image of what KISS fans saw back in those days. Authentic in every way you could imagine. We use the instruments that KISS played and made famous. AC Simmons plays the world famous AXE, Punisher, Gibson Grabber and Ripper. Paul plays the Ibanez 'Paul Stanley' model Iceman and has a rhinestone Iceman also. He additionally plays a Gibson Explorer, Gibson Melody Maker and also has a rhinestone Gibson Flying 'V' with mirrored pick guard. Mike (Ace) plays a Limited Edition 'Ace Frehley' signature series Gibson Les Paul and has two other Les Pauls, one of which is rigged for the smoking guitar solo. Carl (Peter) plays on a replica Pearl Drum set which is almost exactly like the kit Peter played on during the ALIVE era. GODS OF THUNDER uses only Marshall & Ampeg amplfiers. We also have an amazing KISS sign which is fully automated and is a replica of the sign KISS used during their ALIVE era shows. As you can see, we are 100% authentic!!

Stage/Setup Requirements:
Venues should have sound and lighting to include engineers. For private parties within the So Cal area, no need for equipment. We will provide it all. All stage/performance area should be of sufficient size to put on a high energy performance such as KISS

Set/Song/Sequence List:
We can perform just about any song from the '70s era of KISS. We also have the ability to blow you away with our exact, 100% recreation of KISS Alive. Completely accurate all the way down to the shoe strings on our 7" platform boots!!! We have done this several times over the years and the most die hard KISS fans have given us two thumbs WAY up.
