I am an author & poet that performs my work through spoken word.I perform for poetry events, parties, weddings, etc, as well as write personalized poetry for clients. My poetic focuses are love, growth, passion, hope, self-esteem, self worth & appreciation of life. I also an experienced panelist, public speaker and motivator, which I can be booked for as well.
About
Phyllis Jackson is a graduate of Savannah State University (Savannah, GA) with a BBA in Marketing and a MBA in Public Administration. She is, currently, a senior writer for an entertainment magazine based in Texas, while working to share her story with the masses. As one of the first role models of The Ultra Model, Elitess has begun to pave the way for her phenomenal success.
This Mogul in the making has had a passion for the personification of emotions and words since 1994. It was in the same year in which she wrote her first, award winning poem. Since then, Phyllis has been writing poetry that focuses on the intimacy of the heart, mind, body and spirit. Elitess' poems are, also, based on the life experiences of both men and women. Ms. Jackson's writings are powerfully vivid on the subjects of self discovery, self validation, love, heart ache and growth.
In 2007, Ms. Jackson debut book, “Soul Searching Confessions" was published. Her debut book encompasses the nostalgia of life’s firsts (loves, heartaches, fantasies, self discovery & realization, etc).In 2010, her journey continued as she published her second book, “ Reflections of a Journey”, which indulges the reminiscence of life’s questions, fantasies and intrigues. The Elitess' hope is that her art reaches the hearts and souls of all who read as well as support her passion. Poems like "Realization," "Transition," and “22 to 1," portray an artistic ideal behind the experiences of many of our lives.
Phyllis is not only an expressionist, but also a philanthropist. She has had the honor of serving as a State Executives for the NAACP Youth & College Division for 5 years, a National Executive Board Member for Non-Greek ,Collegiate, Sisterhood Organization ( Sisters Striving For Excellence Inc.), a Co-Founder for a Pre-Alumni Association & a Collegiate Modeling Troupe. The Elitess has shown to be a true renaissance woman, with a love for people, art & the great gift of life.
Influences
My influences have varied. I have been motivated by the supporters of my writing to pursue spoken word. Other poets has encouraged me to grow in my craft as an artist. My dream of succeeding has influenced my drive to take my business and brand seriously enough to hunt for opportunities.

Typical Gig Duration: 5 - 90 minutes
Audience members can expect a number of things,depending on the type of audience. Poetry crowds can expect soothing and sultry,yet tasteful & classy performances. Audiences of panel discussions and leadership speaking events can expect a very powerful,professional and poised discussion.Motivational speaking audiences can expect an optimistic and mediating experience.People will get exactly what they pay for, an elite experience.
